Now On View Reclaimed: The Art of Recology Closes October 17, 2021

Be sure to visit this family-friendly, educational showfeaturing work by forty-six artists who have participatedin the Recology artist in residence program, creatingastounding upcycled art from materials found at theSan Francisco recycling center.

Coming Soon If A Tree Falls: Art of the Boundary Oak October 30 - February 13, 2022

This exhibition memorializes the City of Walnut Creek’s signatureValley Oak, which was sadly destroyed during a massive windstormin October 2019. The show features artwork made from the woodof the 325-year-old tree, giving the old giant a second life. All workis by artists living in the local community and the broader Bay Area.

Arts Around August

Lesher Center for the Arts is proud tobe part of Arts Around August, a monthlong celebration of the Arts in DowntownWalnut Creek!

Fantasy Forum Actors Ensemble will beperforming the family favorite, Cinderella,on the Rudney Plaza on Sundays August15 and 22. And Movies On the Roof willfeature Moana on August 21 and Jumanji-Welcome to the Jungle on August 28.

Facility Upgrades

The safety and comfort of our guests is apriority at the LCA. Many upgrades havebeen made during our forced closure:

• New HVAC Chiller for cooling andBoiler for heating have been installedto increase the comfort of our guests.

• Newly installed top of the line PlasmaAir Self-Cleaning Bi-Polar Ionizers.Hospital grade air filters allow freshclean air throughout the building.

• Regular cleaning is nowcomplemented by electrostatic spraysurface cleaning, using a chargedmist to disinfect seats and commonlytouched areas.
