PRIVATE APERITIF ON A ROOFTOP TERRACE IN VENICE

Get out of the crowd of tourists that flock to the bars of Venice and enjoy an aperitif in the calm of a private terrace.

Let’s taste the authentic Venetian Cicchetti (finger food), accompanied by a fresh bottle of Prosecco (the Italian champagne) surrounded by views of the rooftops of Venice and the bell tower of San Marco.

This terrace is a characteristic of Venice, called “altana”, it is made of wood and rests on the roof of the buildings. Only a few palaces can claim to have an altana, and being able to have a drink in a private terrace is a real privilege!

Of course the terrace is equipped with an awning as protection from direct sunlight.

Our terrace is located on top of a building that, in the fourteenth century, was also a monastery, then noble mansion and now a private palace.

It is just a few minutes walk from Piazza San Marco and the Riva degli Schiavoni.

All cicchetti that are served are home-made and the wine is produced locally.
