The KERU series is premised on the current challenges that Kenya is facing from extremist and radical application of religious ideology- key ingredients for terrorism.

KERU is a multi-agency task force with the mandate to assist the established security organizations in the tracking, monitoring and aversion of threats planned by terrorist elements.

KERU has, among its ranks, personnel from the following formations: 1DCI [Department of Criminal Investigations] 2KDF [Kenya Defence Forces] 3NIS [National Intelligence Service] 4DPP [State Law office- Director of Public Prosecutions] The KERU TV SERIES seeks to unlock the intricacies of: Religious Radicalization of Youth Corruption Linkages to Terrorism Money Laundering

Poaching Misuse of technological advancements in communication technology [ICT].The KERU TV SERIES follows the activities of the personnel as they trace, track and apprehend and avert loss of life resulting from acts of terrorism. The Series exposes the human side of the security personnel as they apply their training, their sacrifices of family and time, the challenges that they face on a day-to-day basis. The Series, in turn, ‘humanizes’ the aspect of Radicalization and shows just how vulnerable every citizen is- and how intricate the perpetrators of radical ideology operate.

The KERU TV SERIES also broaches the aspect of discrimination of minorities perceived to be linked to terrorism by mere virtue of their religion and ethnic origin. The issues are brought out in an entertaining and engaging Drama Series- with the aim of demystifying the world of terrorism in Kenya- origins of, how it is planned, and more important, the “do’s” and “don’ts” of every citizen and resident of this wonderful country.
