Omarion left many tongues wagging at the Ngong Racecourse over the weekend. He danced, serenaded the female fans and even showed off his great abs and tattoos to the delight of the mammoth crowd that showed up to witness the first ever Afropop Festival. He performed songs like ‘Bum Bum Bum’, ‘Okay Okay’, ‘Distance’ and ‘Ice Box’ just to name a few. In-between his performance, he stood for about 10 minutes as his deejay played the best tunes from in and around East Africa then went on to party with his fans. He performed for about 45 minutes then had a brief 30 minute photo session backstage at his tent to meet and greet 30 of his female fans. He was then taken to Kiza Lounge in Galana Plaza for the afterparty where he was joined by Bien of Sauti Sol and Vera Sidika to celebrate and pop Hennessy Bottles in the VIP section courtesy of Ali and his management. Other artists who performed at the event were Fena Gitu and the Party Nation crew-Kagwe Mungai, Muthoni Drummer Queen and Blinky Bill, Dela Maranga with H_art The Band, Barack, Shappaman as Shaffie Weru and Amina Abdi hosted the event.Deeja Joe Mfalme and other famous deejays like Kevo Saint kept the crowd on their feet the whole time as revelers mingled and enjoyed the Hennessy experience. VIPs who attended were Raila Junior and his lovely wife, Brian Babu, Babu Owino, Jaystaxx, Deejay Wesley, Jaguar, Jalango, Marcus Kibukosya, Nonny Gathoni, Arthur Kamau and the Coke Studio Crew, Ian Wainina amongst many others. It was a great night out.
