A TRIBUTE TO ARNE HOVMAND -OLSEN (1919-1989)

Arne Hovmand-Olsen had the world in mind, both before and after the 1950s, when he became one of Denmark’s renowned furniture designers. He was a pioneer, not only in the field of architecture, but also in the field of exporting designer furniture to accommodate the large interest abroad. In consultation with Arne Hovmand-Olsen’s family, Warm Nordic is proudly introducing two original lounge chairs from the 50s: Wingman and Cocktail

WINGMAN CHAIR

Designed by Arne Hovmand-Olsen, 1955

Warm Nordic proudly present Wingman Chair – an exclusive designer chair created in the 1950s by the acclaimed Danish furniture designer Arne Hovmand-Olsen. With its organic shell shape and distinctive frame in solid wood, the Wingman can easily stand alone, adding unique character to any room. It is an enticing, useful piece of furniture that testifies to Arne Hovmand-Olsen’s fascinating understanding of craftsmanship, functionality and aesthetics.

COCKTAIL CHAIR

Designed by Arne Hovmand-Olsen, 1953

The Cocktail chair was designed in 1953 by the acclaimed Danish designer Arne Hovmand-Olsen. The angled legs lift the chair elegantly off the floor, creating a counterpoint to the soft weight of the upholstery, while the stylish curved arms and rounded details highlight a soft and elegant expression. For added comfort, there is also a classic pouf in the same elegant design.

New size and colours has been added to the Milieu series

MILIEU COLOUR MINI MINI

Warm Nordic proudly present another design from the beautiful Milieu series by Jo Hammerborg, the brainchild behind a myriad of original lamps.

The original design was inspired by Jo Hammerborg’s great passion for flying and parachuting. Just like a parachute, the individual layers unfold beautifully, and the pendulum features a unique harmony and lightness - marks of a true design classic.

Warm Nordic is introducing the four new beautiful colours to the series: Clear white, Ultimate grey, Tomato cream and Pure cashmere.

New soft variant with two down filled cushions

MR. OLSEN

The classic and yet modern Mr. Olsen series, created in the 50s by the acclaimed architect Hans Olsen is now presented in a new variant with down filled cushions. The original design of the sofa with three cushions is now launched in a softer variant with two cushions lending the timeless design an even softer, airier look of a contemporary sofa, beautifully complementing the original soft shapes of the sofa’s arms and the tapered round legs.

Warm Nordic launches one of our beloved design classics from our collection in a new and exclusive variant with leather and frame in smoked and white oiled oak. The combination of solid wood and quality leather is the perfect match for a gentleman’s room or any classic interior.

GALORE MODULAR SOFA

The luxurious modular sofa with an elegant, inviting idiom, created by the talented Danish designer, Rikke Frost, is now launched with four new modules, extra depth and new curated textiles. Inspired by the decadence of the 1920s, the modern modular sofa lends atmosphere and texture to any room. Thanks to its extra depth, the sofa invites you to put your feet up and lounge, without any compromise on the part of the design in terms of elegance and style.

“The idea behind the modular sofa came from my passion for creating designs that allow for individual adaptation. With a broad selection of different modules in the classic and simple design, the Galore sofa can be adapted to any space –both functionally and aesthetically. I have chosen the textiles for the sofa, considering their different structures in light shades, to visualize the possibilities of the modular system in a bold and charming design inspired by nature’s diversity and tactility”.

The charming Beak Birds is now launched in oak, bringing the birds another step into the future and contemporary interior. The four characters in Beak Birds cover a broad spectrum, from upright and curious to more solid and thoughtful, but for all their differences the birds are beautiful either together or alone.

CONE FLOOR LAMP

Designed by Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen, 1954

The iconic Cone floor lamp has been given a little makeover in the shape of an elegant shelf in white marble. Designed in the 50s by the Danish master of lighting. Its iconic design already makes the lamp eternally contemporary. But now the floor lamp is taken another step into the contemporary home.

HERRINGBONE UPCYCL

At Warm Nordic we constantly strive towards a more sustainable future by creating long lasting design in a responsible way. Sourcing for conscious materials is an important step towards minimizing our envirionmentally footprints. Made from New Waste material from the kitchen industry, Warm Nordic presents  a unique, sustainable reinterpretation of the Herringbone console table, originally designed by the talented designer Charlotte Høncke.

WARM NORDIC CUSHIONS

Warm Nordic presents a new series of exclusive cushions in exquisite fabrics from Kvadrat/FEBRIK, internationally renowned for their innovative approach. This range of cushions celebrates the warm, Nordic aesthetic. The textiles and their intrinsic quality, beautiful patterns and colours play the leading role and will arouse admiration in any setting. The decorative cushions will be available in any fabric from the Warm Nordic universe - complementing all our design classics with colour and character.
