Dear Community Members,
I would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge the Tri-State communities on behalf of Transcendent Healthcare, LLC.
It has been nine years now (since 2006!) that Transcendent has had the privilege of being part of the Tri-State communities. Growing up in a small community and living in Gibson County, I truly understand the importance of small town community relations and personalized services. I pride myself in saying that Transcendent is NOT a Banker, Investor, or National Chain; I am “hands on” in each of my properties every day. I know the residents, families and employees, personally! This is what makes us successful; local people, local ownership and local investment, NOT the cookie cutter chain operation. It is no different than a superstore vs the local hardware store or the private owned restaurant vs a chain.
This being said, I would personally like to say “Thank You” for allowing Transcendent to provide services for Long Term and Short Term Care, In Patient and Out Patient Rehabilitation, Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care, and Hospice.
I stand behind the Transcendent name as 100% sole owner.
Respectfully,

arrick County is located in southern Indiana, in the heart of the Midwest. The county is adjacent to Evansville, Indiana’s third largest city. With immediate access to major Interstates, rail, water and air services, Warrick County offers an abundance of transportation options. Seven state highways weave throughout the county’s 384 square miles, as well as two major interstates — I-64 and I-69 (formerly I-164) — which serve as the northern and western boundaries of the county. Major Moves, former governor Mitch Daniels’ pet project, had major impacts in Warrick County. S.R. 62 through Chandler was restructured and widened, as well as S.R. 261 in Newburgh, providing easier access to the schools along either side. Businesses have more than 40 motor freight companies to choose from in the region. Two local railway services provide additional ground transportation throughout the county. The Ohio River serves as the southern boundary of Warrick County, giving businesses easy access to transporting their goods by water. The county recently implemented the Warrick Area Transit System to give residents better access to the county’s more metropolitan areas. Currently, Chandler, Newburgh and Boonville are serviced and routes connect to Evansville’s METS system.

Museum of the Coal Industry The Museum of the Coal Industry in Lynnville offers a unique look into the county’s past and demonstrates how coal helped shape present-day Warrick County. The area was one of the largest coal producers in the state during the late 19th century, and mining continues to be a contributor to Warrick County’s economy today. The museum gives the public a chance to see many tools of the trade, as well as a large display of photographs. Warrick County Museum The museum, opened in 1977, offers a glimpse into Warrick County’s past. It is located in Boonville in a historic school building. The museum offers information about and displays a variety of items pertaining to everyday life for the people of Warrick County’s past. A cannon from the Civil War, a hand printing press used to print the local newspaper in the early 20th century, military uniforms from several eras, funeral customs, and kitchen wares are just a small sampling of the treasures to be discovered. The museum is constantly updating and changing exhibits. The mission statement of the museum is to protect, preserve and promote the history of Warrick County. Newburgh Museum The Newburgh Museum features the history of Newburgh. Its artifacts deal with the culture, schools and economic activity of the town. Each display has information panels and illustrations that provide an overview of Newburgh history. The museum is located at Newburgh Preservation Hall on the lower level of the building. The entire upstairs space can be rented for receptions and meetings. The building was constructed in the 1850s and was originally used as a Presbyterian Church. In 1965, it was sold and used as the Newburgh Town Hall.

arrick County is home to 10 public and one private elementary schools, three middle schools, one junior/senior high, two high schools, an alternative learning center and two higher-education institutions. Almost 10,000 students are enrolled with the Warrick County School Corporation, the 28th largest in the state. Graduation rates for all three high schools — Castle, Boonville and Tecumseh — are above 91 percent. Extracurricular activities round out the curriculum and provide students with opportunities for additional growth through music, theatre, philanthrophy, art, foreign language, writing and more. Among these, high school athletics have a rich tradition in Warrick County. Castle, Boonville and Tecumseh high schools each boast numerous team, as well as individual, state champions. Due to growth in population, particularly in the southwestern corner of Warrick County, the school corporation has faced many challenges in accommodating the increasing classroom sizes. In 2007, the school board passed a resolution to adopt a middle school concept. As a result, the school corporation spent approximately $27 million on the construction of the Castle South Middle School in southern Warrick County, while making numerous other upgrades and renovations to its existing schools. Safety is also of major importance to the community. Over the past couple of years, the Warrick County School Corporation has worked to create secure entryways to each school. In addition, school resource officers have been placed within the schools to help provide added security, as well as a safe option for students to go to when they need help. School resource officers are provided by the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Chandler, Boonville and Newburgh police departments. The Indiana State Police also have a presence in local schools.

arrick County is home to three hospitals — St. Mary’s Warrick Hospital in Boonville and Deaconess Gateway Hospital and The Women’s Hospital, both in Newburgh. The Women’s Hospital opened in 2001, the first anchor facility on Deaconess’ Warrick County campus. It was the first hospital in the area to be solely dedicated to serving women’s needs in surgery, birthing, infertility, outreach and more. In addition, the hospital provides extensive newborn care, offering a Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit. When Deaconess Gateway Hospital opened in 2006, it brought with it a focus on concentrated areas of care, an emergency department and an opportunity for Deaconess Gateway Campus to become the hub of specialized medical care in Warrick County. Neurology, cardiology and orthopedics are just a few specialty areas offered at Deaconess Gateway. A partnership with Riley Hospital for Children also provides the hospital a unique opportunity to offer specialized pediatric care unavailable anywhere else locally. St. Mary’s Warrick Hospital is a small, community hospital in Boonville that has served Warrick County residents for a little more than three decades. It is a Critical Access Hospital, offering ambulatory and wellness services. In addition to its emergency room and inpatient care, the hospital campus also provides diagnostic and therapeutic care services to meet the needs of the area’s rural residents. Warrick County is also home to many nursing homes, rehabilitation centers and assisted living facilities that work with doctors and hospitals to ensure the medical needs of the county are met. With more than 10 elderly-care establishments, residents can be assured that they will always be cared for. St. Mary’s has built a new $18.8 million, 44,000 square foot expansion for the new Epworth Crossing. Deaconess recently announced plans for a $135 million expansion. The Warrick Wellness Trail is the new medical district surrounding the area of Epworth Road and S.R. 66. Anchored by Deaconess Gateway Hospital, the Warrick Wellness Trail has become home to nine other medical practices. The entire project will take nine phases and will eventually extend Stahl Road all the way to the Newburgh Walmart.

hether it’s off-road, on the water, over the rolling hills or through the woods that you’re most comfortable, Warrick County’s acres upon acres of wilderness will make you feel right at home. Several lakes and ponds offer prime spots for fishing large mouth bass, bluegill, catfish and crappie, while the Ohio River is also stocked with carp, sauger and striped bass. The coal industry left large stripper pits that have now been reclaimed and turned into an outdoor lover’s dream. Take the Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife Area, for example. This 2,532 acres features 28 pits and lakes totaling 600 acres of water. The area is dedicated to providing and maintaining quality hunting, fishing and wildlife watching opportunities. With ample wilderness and a large population of high-demand animals, Warrick County is an excellent place to hunt. Deer, turkey, quail, dove, water fowl and raccoon are in abundance at two public conservation and wildlife areas, which provide nearly 3,350 acres of hunting grounds. Interlake State Recreation Area, an off-road park in northern Warrick County, provides plenty of roaming ground by horseback or all-terrain vehicle, while several other parks scattered throughout the county offer miles of excellent biking, hiking and additional horseback trails. And for those who want to experience a night under the stars in Warrick County, Scales Lake Park has become a major attraction for those who prefer to get back to nature. With both primitive and modern sites — and a petting zoo, swimming area, hiking trails, bike trails and fishing — Scales Lake is known throughout the region. The Rivertown Trail in Newburgh is utilized year-round by both locals and visitors. The trail is a multi-use greenway that will eventually extend from Angel Mounds State Historic Site to the new Lock and Dam Park. Plans are in place to connect the Evansville Greenway with the Rivertown Trail at Angel Mounds. The trailhead is located at S.R. 662 and Yorkshire Drive. Warrick Wellness Pathways, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit, is currently working on constructing 30 miles of green-friendly transportation and recreation by early 2018. The trail is currently planned to comprise six segments, reaching as far as Victoria National Golf Club to the Alcoa soccer fields. Warrick Wellness Pathways, Inc. plans to link to the already existing Rivertown Trail along downtown Newburgh and the Warrick Wellness Trail, which runs from ITT to Libbert Road, while also creating a new series of interconnecting pathways and shared highways.
Hours: Tuesdays and Wednesdays 1-4 pm and the first and third Saturdays from 11 am --2 pm.
The mission of the museum is to protect, preserve, and promote the history of Warrick County.
In 1977 the Warrick County Museum opened in the 1901 Ella Williams School building. Three floors of exhibits highlight Warrick County’s past. A Washington printing press from the 1880s was used to print the Boonville Standard. Civil War cases feature musical instruments that the Indiana Brigade carried into battle and weapons from the conflict. Antique toys from the 1880s through the 1960s fill the charming nursery room. Step back into the turn of the 19th century to view a one-room school or view decades of clothing from the bustles of 1890 to the dropped waists and short skirts of the 1920s among other exhibits.

Good for Warrick County And Our Environment:
The New Warrick Recycles Service. The Warrick County Recycling & Resource Management District (WCRRMD) is happy to bring Warrick Recycles – a new curbside trash and recycling service – to residents of Warrick County. On December 1, 2015, Warrick Recycles began serving county residents who accepted this new program.
Benefits to Warrick County Residents: • In most cases, Warrick Recycles services will cost county residents considerably less than they would pay for commercial trash services. (Cost: $14.50 per month or $43.50 per quarter*) • Residents will enjoy reliable trash pick-up and easy, convenient recycling services. Recycling pick-up is unlimited, with no additional cost. • Fewer trash trucks in our communities will reduce wear and tear on county roads, resulting in reduced costs for maintaining these roads and less noise and air pollution.
Benefits to Warrick County: • The county’s sale of recyclables will help pay for WCRRMD’s new processing and sorting facility, now in full operation. Once our new facility is paid for, recycling proceeds will be returned to Warrick County’s tax base. • Warrick County is leading the way in Indiana’s state-wide goal to recycle 50% of our waste. This waste reduction also will eliminate the need for a landfill in our county. * Seniors (65+), disabled residents and veterans (active and retired) will receive a 10% discount on Warrick Recycles services.
warrickrecycles.org
WCRRMD and Renewable Resources look forward to serving Warrick County residents! For more information about the program call WCRRMD at 812-897-6155. To sign up, or for questions about operations, please call Renewable Resources at 877-752-3024.
