Child, Youth and School Services • 17 May- America’s Armed Forces Day Kids Run. National event taking place at 178 installations worldwide. Ages 5-13 will run age appropriate distances. Parents are also encouraged to run with their children. Run begins at 0800 at Replica CDC. • Summer Camps- School Age Services and Middle School and Teen. A variety of summer programs will be available that include, bowling, movies, skating swimming, picnics, sports and so much more. For SISD students camps begin June 2nd, for EPISD and YISD, camps begin June 11th. A full summer catalog will be available soon.

Key Caller Training Key callers are a vital part of the FRG leadership team and perform an essential FRG mission activity. This training provides the information that is most critical to understanding and performing the key caller role.
Treasurer Training FRG Fund Custodians and alternates will identify resources needed to operate a FRG by learning about various forms of funding available, setting up a bank account, the role and responsibilities of a FRG Fund Custodian, fundraising, donations and solicitation.

Personally Owned Weapons Safety September 09-12 •09 September 14: Fort Bliss Garrison Safety along with Army Community Services, Fort Bliss Provost Marshal, National Rifle Association and Fort Bliss Rod and Gun Club will converge on Freedom Crossing to disseminate information. Various topics may include registering your weapon on post, the importance of securing your weapon from small children or the legalities of owning a weapon in Texas. •10 September 14: Repeat of the first day. We will also be joined by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department to advertise the El Paso Amnesty Day through local media assets. •11 September 14: In conjunction with the city of El Paso, Safety, QASAS and EOD personnel will conduct Fort Bliss Amnesty Day. There will be amnesty locations in the local area running simultaneously to ensure complete coverage.
•12 September 14: As in the previous day, the city of El Paso will work in conjunction with Fort Bliss assets to conduct Amnesty Day at various locations throughout the city. We will also disseminate information on Unexploded Ordinance via Public Service Announcements utilizing various media outlets. These PSA’s will be in broadcast bilingually.
