Athletic Training Policy and Procedure For Visiting Teams

Emanuel Medical Center 825 Delbon Ave., Turlock (209) 667-4200 FROM STANISLAUS STATE Exit the University’s Geer Road Entrance and turn right on Geer Road. Turn left on Monte Vista Ave. and proceed east to Olive Ave. Turn right onto Olive Ave. and go south for 1 1/2 miles and the hospital is on the left.

Ultrasound, Electrical stimulation, moist heat packs and whirlpools are available upon request. If an athletic training staff member does not travel with a visiting team then a letter listing athletes’ names and treatments must be submitted and signed by a Certified Athletic Trainer. BENCH SET-UP Water, Ice, cups, bio-hazard and emergency equipment are present. Disposable bench towels will be provided for games. Shower Towels will NOT be provided. Make sure your athletes bring their own. HOSPITAL ACCOMMODATIONS Under the circumstances a visiting athlete needs emergency medical attention, hospital directions will be provided. If necessary an ambulance will be called to transport the injured athlete. The visiting institution is responsible for transportation if an ambulance is not utilized.

FROM TURLOCK REGIONAL SPORTS COMPLEX Exit the Sports Complex on either Mountain View or North Kilroy to Christofferson Parkway, turn right and go east on Christofferson past the University. Turn right on Olive Ave. and go South for 2 miles and the hospital is on the left. FROM PEDRETTI SPORTS COMPLEX Exit the Sports Complex and turn right on top Tegner Road. Turn right on Monte Vista Ave. and go east for about 3 miles. Turn right on Olive Ave. and go South for 1 mile and the hospital is on the left.

SUPPLIES All visiting teams must provide their own athletic training supplies. (tape,etc.)

Locker Room Access & Showers Locker Rooms will be assigned to each visiting team, as necessary, at each facility. There are no locker rooms available for baseball or softball. Showers can be made available in the Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena for all sports upon request only. Please provide your own bath towels. Please check in with Assistant Athletics Director Aaron Allaire on-site to make the request.

On-Campus Parking BASKETBALL & VOLLEYBALL

The Department of Athletics assumes no responsibility for any parking violations incurred by visiting teams, officials, or fans.

Spectators & Teams For all events in the Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena please park in Lot 8 directly in front of the Arena. Parking is FREE, in Lot 8 only, on the day of the event. No team parking permit is required. Buses must park in Lot 11A (gravel lot).

BASEBALL Spectators For all events at the Warrior Baseball Field, please park in Lot 7, across from the entrance to the baseball complex. Parking is FREE on the day of the event. No event parking in Lot 10, adjacent to the Student Recreation Center. Teams Please park team vans and buses along the curb on Merced Way in areas marked for Team Vans and Buses parking only (blue signs). These curbside parking areas are adjacent to the Student Recreation Complex and Teague Park within walking distance to the baseball field.

SOFTBALL Spectators For all events at the Warrior Softball Field, please park either Lot 7 or Lot 8. Parking is FREE, in these two lots only, on the day of the event. No event parking in Lot 10, adjacent to the Student Recreation Center. Teams Please park team vans and buses along the curb on Merced Way in areas marked for Team Vans and Buses parking only (blue signs). These curbside parking areas are adjacent to the Student Recreation Complex and Teague Park and are across the street from the softball field.

MEN’S & WOMEN’S SOCCER, TRACK & FIELD Spectators For all soccer and track & field events on campus at Warrior Stadium, please park in either Lot 7 or Lot 8. Parking is FREE on the day of the event. Teams For all soccer and track & field events on campus at Warrior Stadium, please park team vans and buses in Lot 8 or the designated team areas along the curb on Merced Way. No team parking permit is required. Please, no parking in Lot 10, adjacent to the Student Recreation Center.

TENNIS Spectators & Teams For all events at the Stan State Tennis Courts, please park in Lot 7 adjacent to the tennis courts. Parking is FREE, in Lot 7 only, on the day of the event. No team parking permit is required.

BASKETBALL, VOLLEYBALL & CROSS COUNTRY ED & BERTHA FITZPATRICK ARENA (Map ID: A) Take the West Monte Vista Ave. Exit off Highway 99 and go East on W. Monte Vista Ave./University Way. Pass the University on your left and turn left on Geer Road. Take the first left, Calaveras Dr., onto campus. At the round-about, veer left and turn right for Lot 8. For Cross Country, the start and finish lines are near Fitzpatrick Arena, Warrior Lake and Lot 8.

SOFTBALL Warrior Softball Field (Map ID: B) Take the West Monte Vista Ave. Exit off Highway 99 and go East on W. Monte Vista Ave./University Way. Pass the University on your left and turn left on Geer Road. Take the first left, Calaveras Dr., onto campus. At the roundabout, veer left and turn right for Lot 8. To park in Lot 7, veer right at the roundabout until you reach the tennis courts and baseball field. For team parking, veer right at the roundabout and park along the curb across from the softball fields designed for team parking.
