Master 2000 on 6.5" wrist, too big? Okay, I pulled the trigger on a Master 2000 last night during the show. Knowing how quickly DB’s can sell out I had to do it. I’m in the market for a white dial watch on a SS bracelet. My preference is an automatic. So the DB Master 2000 fit the bill when I saw it last night. J1000064 - http://www.shopnbc.com/PRODUCT/?track=20301;&familyid=J1000064&cm_re=Search-_-family-_-N However, I do have one “concern” and that is the size of this watch. My wrist is approximately 6.5” and this beauty might be too large for me. Lug tip to lug tip distance as well as the watch thickness. Anyone else have the Master 2000 with athletic
wrists like mine?
If so, thoughts on the size of the watch? Post wrist shots if you can. Thanks.

It wears larger because the lugs are relatively straight and the bubble case back elevates the watch a bit off the wrist. I have a 7 1/2 inch wrist and it fits me just fine. However, I don't think
the new DB 48mm would be a good fit for me, so I'm sticking with the 45mm versions. __________________

I had an original Master 2000 recently -and i have a 6 3/4" wrist - and i felt it was too large for me - but this is highly subjective - if you like large timepieces than it may be ok for you sorry no wrist shots __________________

Here's one on a 6-3/4" wrist.
I think it is too big. But I love it. I also wear Venoms. I also wear 33mm vintage watches. The DBM2K is a great watch! Buy it and wear it, you will love it!

hmmm.... thanks Eric for the pic. It might be too large for me. Funny thing, watching the show last night Daniel Green has a 6.5" wrist (what I've heard) and I didn't think it looked too big on his wrist. But on your wrist Eric, it looks definitely looks like a large watch. 407guy View Public Profile Send a private message to 407guy Send email to 407guy Find all posts by 407guy Add 407guy to Your Contacts #6 11-09-2010, 02:30 PM

I own the identical Master 2000 II with the white lume face and black hands. I have a seven inch wrist and have no problem wearing it. Stan has a 6 1/2 wrist and it looked great on him. I am sure that you will be fine. Enjoy. Just about to say the same, I had real concerns regarding the 2000 fitting my 6 7/8" wrist, called Stan, he told me the same thing. His 6 1/2 " wrist can accommodate this watch nicely. I too pulled the trigger on the 2000 II, should be here tomorrow, will know for sure by noon. __________________

I don't own any DB's (there out of my price range) but if I did, I'd have no problem wearing them(and I have a smaller size wrist than yours) I wear RD's, Subaqua Noma's, Corduba Ibiza's, Excursion's and other large pieces, it's whatever your comfortable wearing, so enjoy it and wear it with WG pride! Congrats on a beautiful piece. Someday I too will own a DB! __________________ Ben357 ben357

The domed caseback and the straight lugs make it ride high which feels a little too big at first. But ultimately I do not think it is too big, because unlike Invictas which are big for no reason other than fashion, the DBM2K is large due to its honest 2000m w/r rating. Invicta likes to make a big deal that the Venom is 1000m watch, big whoop, check out the Deep Blue 1k, that watch is half the size of a Venom. Big for big's sake is "too big" whereas big because a 2000m watch must be big is fine, IMO. (btw I own and love the Venom but I recognize that it is a fashion piece.) Check out a Rolex Sea Dweller, you will notice that it, too, is a bit on the large side. So, get the Deep Blue 2000 - you will love it. It's a real tool watch. It's my beater and baby, it's an awesome beater. It is an honest tool watch that can take whatever you throw at it. Eric. __________________

Cool, thanks everyone for the info. It's been some time since I've bought a watch online and had to wait for it. My last three (TAG, Swiss Army and Luminox) where all bought at an authorized dealer. I'm kinda excited but wish I had the watch now. Oh well, delivery is supposed to be by Nov. 18th so it's not too long. Thanks again everyone. Keep the posts coming.

BUMMED! I don't like how it sits on my wrist. Case has no curve, even at the lugs, so it sits really flat for me. Back to SNBC. I really like the look of the watch. Oh well, wait and see what the specs are on the Alpha Marine.
I'm in the market for a white dial (auto) on SS bracelet. My search continues... 407guy View Public Profile Send a private message to 407guy Send email to 407guy Find all posts by 407guy Add 407guy to Your Contacts #17 11-12-2010, 02:20 PM

Sorry to hear that, my 6 7/8 wrist is presently being caressed by the newly arrived DB2000 II Lume white dial. Maybe swapping the SS bracelet for the silicon strap will makae it more comfortable, give it a try before giving up on it. __________________

If you like this style of watch, you might consider the Marathon SAR versions. Same style case but smaller (41 mm). The have tritium dial quartz versions (TSAR) as well as superluminova versions and autos as well. But they are not cheap. TSAR:

I dig the GSAR. Big reason why I grabbed the T100 in white. Plus the 41mm was a little small for me. __________________

Wear it large! People will look at that thing and say that is one serious watch, thats no toy or cheap replica! Wear it well, it will look good on you! Big watches are the style right now anyway. Phil. __________________

Looked at the watch again after seeing other threads on the same watch (members getting their watches as well). It's just an awesome looking watch. But still bummed.... fitment just isn't to my liking -- and even my wife made a comment on how it looked on my wrist regarding the case being so flat and she NEVER comments on my watches (she knows it's my hobby ). 407guy View Public Profile Send a private message to 407guy Send email to 407guy Find all posts by 407guy Add 407guy to Your Contacts #25 11-13-2010, 03:06 PM DHL Senior Member Super Geek

Here's mine on my 6 3/4 inch wrist. Fit is perfect, but it does seem to wear larger than the 45 mm bezel diameter would indicate.
