Horology 101 by Invicta - Swiss gold layering

I was reading the Horology 101 section from the Invicta Watch catalog that I received from them from a recent order. They have a section explaining a few things, including their swiss gold layering process. I found one part particularly interesting - In the Swiss Gold (Picture of this below) section they state that they are so confident in it that they even plate case backs and the inside of metal bands. I think we all know that they haven't done this on a few of the Reserves Pro Divers and some more expensive pieces...I believe it is just the 2 tone models, but I am not 100% sure. What gives Invicta? Quite honestly I think they would do this for the higher end pieces, such as the reserve pro diver 7750. Not complaining here, but It would be nice to have an official answer and not speculation.

With the way the economy is, maybe Invicta feels that the extra layering would add the to the price of the watch. Just my opinion...Roy __________________ God Bless the USA

I understand your point Mike - if they're going to be selective, why not the Reserve piece with a 7750? Have a fine Navy day!

I don't think it is the cost of the gold layering that is at issue, more the difficulty doing a two-tone finish as opposed to all one color bracelet.

I don't understand it is a three piece like all they would have to do is use the center link just like in the all Gold, Seems like they went out of their way to not plate the inside. __________________ Well what can you do

In this seriously bad and unstable economy where people just aren't buying much of anything these days.Eyal offered a Reserve pro diver with the first ever 7750 powering it at a price most could afford right out of the gate.He did what he could to make this deal happen.Sure it would have been nice if it also had 10 point ct hour markers too but then it gets away from being affordable to most.

I absolutely love two-tone watches, and this is one of my biggest frustrations with Invicta TT models. Of course it doesn't show on the wrist, but when I take it off and sit it on the dresser, the UN-plated backs of the center links just cheapen such a great look! Go ahead and charge $10 extra to plate the whole link. I'll pay it!

they did the inside of the centerlinks on the two-tone 360.

theyre has to be another reason,THANK you eyal for making this affordable, and a killer watch at that!!

I do not find it important and will not stop me from buying a watch. I would think it might be something to do with the actual building of the watch as much as saving microns of pennies.

What I find even more intriguing is the statement about Tritnite lasting 20 hrs. Now thats rich. 20 minutes ... maybe. __________________
