Omega Seamaster Mariner circa 1976

I absolutely love vintage watches, but seldom do I buy them due to all of the inherent issues with vintage pieces. However, every once in awhile, a gamble on one pays off. This is an Omega Seamaster Mariner MegaQuartz, with a cal. 1310 movement, 8 jewels. 40mm case in the iconic 70's style! I can honestly say that the only place I think you could find a nicer one would be in the Omega museum. It is just about as close to mint condition as a nearly 35 year old watch can be! The folding clasp is still stiff, and all edges are factory crisp! The protective purple goop they used to use on the caseback is still evident on the Seahorse logo. I haven't decided yet what I'm going to do with this one. It's SO NICE I'm almost afraid to wear it! However, keep it or sell it, opening up the box today and finding this looking at me will always be a moment I will treasure when I look back on my collecting years! Enjoy the pics!

Awesome awesome awesome. I loooooooooove Omegas from this period and in this style. They are underappreciated and therefore relatively inexpensive, too. Yours is awesome. Don't be afraid to wear it...... Congrats! Eric. __________________

What a unique design, and in mint condition. You've scored a real treasure there Tim, congrats. What are the pushers at the 2 and 4 positions for? __________________
