I agree it will be interesting to see the style of these watches. Also didn't Daniel say that they would be comming out with more mid-size watches? VIETVET68 View Public Profile Send a private message to VIETVET68 Find all posts by VIETVET68 Add VIETVET68 to Your Contacts #4 Today, 07:34 AM

Daniel's watches are a bargan at their current prices, but unfortunately I don't have a spare 4 to 6 hundred bucks that I can throw at one at this time. With Renato's , I can't always impulse buy, I need a little lead time so I can plan for a purchase.
Sometimes you don't get that from ShopNBC. R __________________

Although, if you look at Shop NBC or ebay (through espiga), you can find better deals on the older watches. __________________

I love the Renatos and I think Daniel is aware that much of us are on a tighter and tighter budget, so we can not afford those wonderful time pieces like we would. I would love to have gotten a Buzo, the new Vulcan and a Mostro, but the VPs would have been more then my house note! 3Floydsfan View Public Profile Send a private message to 3Floydsfan Send email to 3Floydsfan Find all posts by 3Floydsfan Add 3Floydsfan to Your Contacts #8 Today, 09:48 AM

I agree its cool that Daniel is coming out with an affordable brand, but I think it should have a different name; the Renato name should not be anywhere near these watches; in the same way that many high end companies have their more affordable brands like Movado and ESQ or SWI and Magico. I love Renatos, I have to agree the prices are alittle to high for some and would be welcomed by many of us to have a more affortable pieces. timewarped73 View Public Profile Send a private message to timewarped73 Send email to timewarped73 Find all posts by timewarped73 Add timewarped73 to Your Contacts #10 Today, 11:44 AM

Maybe these price increases are to fund the new collection? Hope the QC doesn't take a hit like Invicta. __________________ ~Dave ItsDavo View Public Profile Send a private message to ItsDavo Find all posts by ItsDavo Add ItsDavo to Your Contacts #11 Today, 11:49 AM

Sounds interesting, I can't wait to see how it pans out. I'm no marketing genius but I would consider making Renato Emporium generally quartz/stainless and bumping Renato up to all automatics and exotic dials/case materials. __________________ Ah, pigs: an omnivorous, domesticated, cloven hoof vertebrate that defecates the same place it consumes. warpig View Public Profile Send a private message to warpig Find all posts by warpig Add warpig to Your Contacts #12 Today, 11:54 AM

I think this would be a good idea in theory, but wouldn't that then mean that the Renato Emporium line would have to have similar prices to the current quartz/stainless models (or have a large range in the line from inexpensive to the current quartz model pricing) and also would drive the price for the Renato line up above where it is now (as all offerings would be autos with exotic materials)? __________________ Eric. emathieu View Public Profile Send a private message to emathieu Find all posts by emathieu Add emathieu to Your Contacts #14 Today, 11:55 AM

I have to agree here, with a new line that is cheaper, I hope the Quality doesn't start to faulter. Renato has always had great QC in there watches, so I will have to judge the new pieces when they come available. WatchGeek4Life View Public Profile

Thanx..... I have one Renato and would love another. I'm always up for checking out a new line on the shop. If Daniel's involved, it will be a good one. __________________ Bullwinkle: "Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat!" gman66 View Public Profile Send a private message to gman66

Yep, that's how I would imagine it going...but again, I'm no marketing genious and certainly don't have a clue on how to run a watch company. Renato Emporium becomes the sub $500 brand and Renato moves up to the $600-2K territory (which is a meaty part of the watch industry, and may give DM a foothold in the retail markets outside of shopnbc and WGs). __________________ Ah, pigs: an omnivorous, domesticated, cloven hoof vertebrate that defecates the same place it consumes. warpig View Public Profile Send a private message to warpig Find all posts by warpig Add warpig to Your Contacts #18 Today, 01:03 PM Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Atlanta, GA but my heart is still in NOLA Posts: 1,308 Real Name: Eric.

I'd actually be all for this move if it happened personally - Renato could easily play comfortably in that range (and they do already, just not very often), and it would motivate them to come out with more automatic models in this range. Of course, like you, I know nothing about running a watch company. __________________ Eric. emathieu View Public Profile Send a private message to emathieu Find all posts by emathieu Add emathieu to Your Contacts #19 Today, 03:14 PM Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: Joshua Tree, CA Posts: 74 Real Name: Steve

My guess is for lower prices to happen they would have to make a lot more of each model, or lower the quality. Personally, I hope they don't lower quality. I can't afford to buy every Renato I want, but I treasure the ones I have. They make me feel good when I wear them and I appreciate the quality. jtwatchguy View Public Profile Send a private message to jtwatchguy Find all posts by jtwatchguy Add jtwatchguy to Your Contacts #20 Today, 03:16 PM

Didn't Invicta show with Trident that this is a strategy that really doesn't work? __________________ "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace" - Jimi Hendrix WatchYaThink View Public Profile Send a private message to WatchYaThink Send email to WatchYaThink Find all posts by WatchYaThink Add WatchYaThink to Your Contacts #21 Today, 03:24 PM Join Date: Apr 2010 Posts: 66

They can do it but Renato should not be in the name. The Movado name is not on an ESQ. Having it called a Renato cheapens Renato. Poseidon was a flop (IMO) because you can already get Invictas (even "Reserves") for really low prices... When Invicta is selling pieces for $70, there isn't much motivation to purchase their "lesser" brand for $139... __________________ Eric. emathieu View Public Profile Send a private message to emathieu Find all posts by emathieu Add emathieu to Your Contacts #24 Today, 04:35 PM
