SWI Fazing Out?

Seems as time has passed by so has SWI, and really all of the other rivals who are all behind Invicta, which has become the Tiger Woods of watches, or maybe my analogy is not too hot, at least right now. I think the only people who need going to therapy should be repeat serial buyers like my self. SWI seems the least aired watch show and when they are on it's for very limited time and days. I have to say it's is frustrating buying from them because they do things in their own time (pardon the pun), especially when it comes to filling orders. Personally I like the option of SuperExpress, pay more but don't prefer the wait. They as the vendor decide they don't want to make the feature available to SNBC's loyal customers so my watch is coming by carrier horseback all of the way from sunny Florida to Connecticut. I guess Mr. Ben Shmuel and company may have found some greener grass, or is it that they don't have much to offer at this time? It was nice to see Leor the other night, it's been a while, he to me seemed kind of distant, but did bring along some nice toys like the "Once Only" Ceramica watches. I got the black with gold tone accents which will add to my collection of ceramics. It's nice material. Looking forward to some new things to come!

I have been enjoying buying my SWI collection from WOW, no tax and free shipping big plus. I am sure Lior has something in the works for us but it may not be just for the Shop NBC site customers. Wow has been showing their pricing can be very competitive...

On the contrary... SWI will be expanding quite a bit on ShopNBC. We will soon be running Swiss Legend shows as a separate entity from SWI. So soon you'll see SWI shows, then also Swiss Legend shows. There are a few things in the works that will further solidify SWI as one of our top "brands" at Shop. __________________

I got a good deal from there not too long ago, but they sent me the wrong watch and I'm still waiting for the replacement. The mistake was understandable: I ordered IN5998 (Invicta II Mechanical Black Ion Plated Watch) and they sent IN5898 (Midsize Adrenaline Skull Motif Black Corian). The stock number was only off by one digit and I guess the picker didn't check as closely as he/she should have. But they sent me a UPS pre-paid label for the return.

SWI has always been one of the main brands on the shop. They have a lot of varieties on different brands. Other brands are slow too like Croton, Philip and Adee Kaye. __________________

I think they have a lot of life left in them. You can be sure we will be seeing a whole lot more of the Neptune watches. Just got my first one today and I can say I will be in for many more. This watch for size, confert and price is just a super deal. __________________

Lior and Swiss Legend must be having some production issues. SWI did a great deal of full page advertising in Nov & Dec in IW Mag. None of those watches has appeared at the Shop or at any of his sites. Usually, companies don't give a 6 month lead time on a product, something is amiss. Maybe it will all work out now that Basel is over. __________________

What I was drawing the analogy to was that Tiger is a front runner when it comes to watches, watch company on SNBC, Tiger professionally is the leader on the golf tour. Was number one in the world, don't know if he still is? thewatchfox View Public Profile Send a private message to thewatchfox Find all posts by thewatchfox Add thewatchfox to Your Contacts #25 03-31-2010, 05:43 AM

Misunderstood! I did not imply or mean to imply that Eyal is out running around, nothing at all like that. My intention was to equal Invicta as being number one in the watch world as Tiger is to golf, that was all! I made reference on the posting that perhaps in light of his problems this may not be the time to use him in a positve sense. Sorry you got my message wrong. thewatchfox View Public Profile Send a private message to thewatchfox Find all posts by thewatchfox Add thewatchfox to Your Contacts #27 03-31-2010, 05:51 AM

Agreed, not seeing the SWI too much anymore.

It does seems as if it's the "Your Time With Invicta" show, they seem to be the watch of this week, last week, and the future. They've even planted Mike Davis there. I do agree whole heartedly with you realting to SWI, they don't give the SuperExpress option, neither does Sthurling (spelled right?), and I avoid buying their products. That is very frustrating because like you, I like it as soon as when I place the order and with Invicta and Renato you get it!

You didn't mention anything about Croton who too has been a bit scarce. Guess you have to be able to keep up with the guy who's running the fastest! Personally, I don't mind it too much but notice Invicta, seems to be creating a scale or a seperation of grades when it comes to what they offer now too. Diversity amoungst diversity. The Invicta II, regular Invictas with high prices like the wooden watch which I bought. It had the Reserve price without the Reserve. Then the other tier, Reserve, which is just a phrase denoting what I don't know? In this collection there are some watches which don't look like they belong there. Anyway, I have to say I like that brand a lot along with Renato, who now seemed to break down and sell under $200.00 watches like this past weekend's OTV T-Rex, and the Sporgenza GMT which I picked up on. A bit heavier than the original with a little lower grade movement than the original chronograph. After I fiugre out how much money I owe SNBC today, it's time to see if anything else needs a home. Just the never ending cycle! SWI NEVERMORE! thewatchfox View Public Profile Send a private message to thewatchfox Find all posts by thewatchfox Add thewatchfox to Your Contacts #30 Today, 02:23 PM

I'm not so sure about SL/SWI .... but as far as everyone else falling behind Invicta, I wouldn't agree with that. Lately I find Invicta becoming less and less interesting, both from a perspective of the company itself, and from a perspective of watches that are not grabing my interest like they used to. While, on the other hand, I see Android and Renato and SO coming out with lots of great new designs that are appealing to me, and my intests lately are moving more in their directions. __________________ "He who marches in rank and file has already earned my contempt.
