3D STUDIO ART III: ADVANCED CERAMICS & SCULPTURE COURSE DESCRIPTION In this course students will use 3D media to further develop their personal artistic style. Students will be challenged to solve visual art problems and will draw upon prior knowledge of the elements and principles of art as well as the techniques they have learned from previous art classes to find unique answers. Installations as an art form may also be introduced. Boundaries will be stretched and individualized guidance will be given so the focus of this class will be to produce a body of work that showcases each student’s developing vision as an artist. For those considering further study in art, this class will provide the opportunity to build a portfolio. This course replaces second and third year placing in Advanced 3D Design.
