WHS Parents: It’s the first day of March, and we have a few updates for you to get the month started:
The WHS Key Club and Red Cross are sponsoring a blood drive for students and faculty on Tuesday, March 5, during the school day. If your child is 17 or older, please encourage them to donate blood – every donation helps to save lives! Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences will be next Thursday, March 7. We will have an early dismissal for students to free the teachers up to meet with you in the afternoon. You can schedule conferences directly with teachers by emailing them to set up an appointment. If you need to know the email address for any of our teachers, you can access them on our staff directory at: https://whs.waterfordschools.org/ourschool/aboutus/staff_directory Next Friday, March 8, is a professional development day for our faculty, so there will be no school for your kids. We will be spending the day refining our skills to make sure we offer your kids the best education possible, and we appreciate your support for our teachers’ continued professional growth. If you are the parent of a senior, please check with them to make sure that they have ordered and paid for their graduation cap and gown. The deadline for this is March 15, and if your child hasn’t taken care of it yet, have them see Mrs. Griffin in the first floor office to address it. Graduation will be here before you know it, and we want them all looking sharp in their caps and gowns! World Language Week is coming soon – March 11-15 – and we will be hosting a number of events during and after school celebrating the diversity of our school community and the importance of studying other languages.
