Message from the Principal
Dear Oswegatchie School Community, It was another great week here at Oswegatchie. Staff and students continue to practice the ins-and-outs of what it takes to be a positive member of a school community. Already, I am seeing progress in the cafeteria and in the hallways. Keep up the great work! As a staff, we met this week to explore our new Social-Emotional learning material, Second Step. Throughout the school year, students will participate in units focused on Skills for Learning, Empathy, Emotion Management, and Problem Solving. We will provide much communication with home regarding our progress with the program. We will also offer related learning opportunities for parents throughout the year, so stay tuned. Reminders: Thursday, September 13th is our Back To School Night from 6:00-7:00. Please be sure to come and meet your child’s teacher and see your child’s classroom. The students are very excited to show you what they’ve been learning. 5th Grade Parents/Guardians: The next 5th Grade Promotion Planning meeting will be on September 11th at 6:45 p.m. in Oswegatchie School Library.
