COURSE DESCRIPTION
AP CHEMISTRY – H CREDIT: 1 ½ credits The AP Chemistry course reflects the recommended AP curriculum and focuses on aqueous chemistry processes, electrochemistry, bonding, kinetics, equilibrium, weak acids and bases, and thermodynamics. Laboratory work is rigorous and integrated throughout the course. Students enrolled in AP Chemistry will be offered the option to take the AP exam in May. Some students enrolled may attend colleges where an Advanced Placement score of 4 or 5 will earn them exemption from, or credit in, general chemistry.
