The Project and Concept Orbit Homes, the new division of The Orbit Group, was unveiled at this years Chartered Institute of Housing exhibition at the Hilton Hotel in Brighton. Both Orbit Homes and Orbit South required an attractive, contemporary and friendly stand for this event, not only for the launch of Orbit Homes, but also to re-enforce Orbit Groups position as one of the largest Housing Associations in the UK. Watermark worked on this project from the concept stage, all the way through to building the stand.

Final Design
This was the model concept our client decided to carry forward to the CIH exhibition in Brighton. We then provided artwork according to the specifications of the exhibition organisers, to be printed and constructed full size.
The Stand

The final exhibition stand had garden furniture put in place to enhance the feel of a house garden. The stand was very well received by our client and delegates of the exhibition over the three day event
A new brand look As part of the build up to the exhibition, we also gave Orbit Homes a brand new corporate feel. Introducing magenta blocks, complemented by a sophisticated palette to give the division it’s own unique I.D. which can be used along side any Orbit Group publications, but will also stand alone as a separate entity when required. The new look for Orbit Homes is more urban, modern and friendly, making the housing more attractive to first time buyers.
Changes to the Orbit Group structure As well as the development arm of the Orbit Group, Orbit Homes also comprises all areas of Orbit First Step, including Orbit’s sales team and Orbit HomeBuy Agents, the largest HomeBuy Agency in the country, which helps people find the right home ownership product for them.

The Team The Orbit Homes team is skilled in project management and development, community liaison, consultation, sales and marketing, resident involvement and effecting varying forms of partnership opportunities, solidly supported in-house by Business Support, Financial expertise, Equality and Diversity teams.
The new team comprises both those with a background in affordable housing and those with expertise in the private residential sector, ensuring that the Orbit Homes team has the knowledge and skills to operate effectively in both the affordable and private sales markets.
Orbit Homes is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Orbit Group Ltd, founded in 2009 to develop schemes for Social Rent, Market Sale and the Intermediate market. Orbit Homes operates in the Midlands, the South East and the East of England and aims to develop around 1,000 properties per year of all tenures across these regions. The success of the Orbit Group is founded on over 40 years of experience, providing a varied housing mix and tenure in line with the need in any given operational area. Orbit Homes will continue to build on this experience and apply it to the development of both its affordable and its market sale homes.

2. Homes and Build Package Orbit will purchase land through developers that are keen to work with us on design and build packages – encouraging ongoing working relationships. 3. Orbit’s future land acquisition programme will comprise of four main areas: 1. Orbit Homes Land Purchase This will be via the acquisition of land directly from vendors and their agents, procuring planning permission and building schemes via our own resources for both affordable and market sale homes.
