CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 1.

All information given on this form should be complete and correct at the time the entry is submitted. You should advise any changes to the Organisers, in writing, as soon as possible.

This entry covers the person(s) and craft named only. No transfers can be permitted without the Organisers’ written agreement. No refunds will be made for cancellations or nonattendance.

IWA Festivals reserve the right to refuse a craft entry without giving any reason

Please supply a stamped self-addressed envelope for acknowledgement of this entry.

4.

You confirm that you will hold third party insurance to an indemnity minimum of £1,000,000. This must be held for at least the period that the craft is moored at the Canalway Cavalcade site.

5.

You agree to abide by all relevant bye-laws and licensing requirements of British Waterways, the navigation authority, whilst the craft is moored at the Canalway Cavalcade site.

This includes displaying the correct craft licence and satisfying the requirements of the Boat Safety Scheme. Short-term visitor licences are available from British Waterways.

Adults are responsible for their children and pets at all times and in all places.

7.

You agree not to leave any litter or cause pollution to the waterway, towing path, the Canalway Cavalcade site or the surrounding area. This includes not discharging any toilets into the waterway and not leaving excrement from pets in these areas.

You agree not to cause a nuisance to other people nearby, whether by excessive noise or any other activity. Engines should only be run to charge electrical systems at times specified by the Waterspace Manager.

You agree not to store on your craft any article of an inflammable or explosive nature (for example, fireworks) other than fuel and lubricants, as allowed for under the Boat Safety Scheme. This is for everyone’s safety in the unlikely event of a fire.

10. You agree to comply with the directions of the Organisers, including from the Waterspace Manager and his or her team.

The decision of the Organisers as to the allocation of moorings and other arrangements is final. The Organisers reserve the right to move any craft from any mooring at any time before, during or after Canalway Cavalcade, and to moor boats in any appropriate design or arrangement. You agree not to change the mooring designated to you without the agreement of the Waterspace Manager 11. Due to the layout of the Canalway Cavalcade site at Little Venice, it is necessary to moor many boats with the stern end to the towing path. If this is a problem to you, please state the reason and every effort will be made to provide alternative arrangements.

12. Moorings in the Pool will allocated subject to the availability of moorings of suitable length. Any boats booked into the event after 1.1.14 are likely to be allocated moorings along Delemere Terrace.

13. You accept that you are responsible for the conduct of all members of the crew of your craft (i.e. those people that this entry covers overleaf), including any children and pets at all times and in all places.

14. The Organisers will not be held responsible for any loss or damage, other than that to which the Organisers are legally liable as a result of their negligence. You should ensure that you have adequate insurance to cover any accidents or other losses. The Organisers will not be liable for any default due to an Act of God, war, fire, flood, drought, tempest or other event beyond the reasonable control of the Organisers.

15. Block bookings will only be accepted for bookings received by post in the same envelope. A separate entry form should be completed for each craft. Due to the nature of the site, it is difficult to facilitate requests for craft to moor together; especially if the craft are of significantly different lengths.

16. All Information provided by you on this form will be stored in accordance with current legislation. A copy of this information can be made available to you on request to the Boat Entries Officer, as named overleaf. The Organisers promise not to supply or sell these details to anyone else.

17. You agree not to undertake any trading whatsoever, including the advertisement of boats for sale, from the craft covered by this entry. Exhibition entry forms are available on request.

18. You agree not to invite any news, or other media (including television companies) to report or film without the written agreement of the Organisers.

19. Late entries will only be accepted at the discretion of the Waterspace Manager.

20. All directions given by the Waterspace Manager must be observed.

21. A limited number of moorings near the main Canalway Cavalcade site may be available for craft with registered disabled people on board. Applications for these moorings should be accompanied by proof of the registered disability (e.g. copy of document issued by a local authority for vehicle parking) together with a description of any specific needs. The Organisers will try to satisfy reasonable requests for mooring requirements, but cannot undertake to honour any requests beyond those made available to all entrants.

22. Entry prices shown overleaf include VAT at the standard rate, (20%). The Organisers reserve the right to amend these prices as a result of changes to VAT. The tax point is the date of receipt of this form by the Boat Entries Officer.

Notes 1.

Packs containing information about the Canalway Cavalcade weekend, details of awards and mooring locations will be posted out by early April 2014. If you have not received your pack by mid April 2014, please contact the Boat Entries Officer.

A plaque will be made available for each craft entering and attending the Festival. Plaques are not provided for craft that enter but do not attend the Festival.

3.

Entry may be refused to any boater not wearing a properly fitted wristband.
