MINUTES OF MEETING Approval of Minutes held on Friday 11th September 2015 read and signed by The Chairman. ITEMS OF NEW BUSINESS Carole happy to accept Spencer’s suggestion to continue as Treasurer until after the coach trip and will continue to minute the meeting in the absence of Phil the Secretary. Rod to contact Mr. Burns again regarding the restoration of Halesworth Lock and to see if we offer any help following the email forwarded from EAWA. CHAIRMANS REPORT Rod has emailed Kirsty Bennett regarding a talk on the Fenland Ark. SECRETARY REPORT No report as Secretary not present. Rod said he would write to Phil to see if he still wishes to carry on as Secretary. . TREASURER’S REPORT Spencer has sent off the 1st deposit for the coach trip. It was noted that only a small loss of £5-00 occurred after the fish and chip supper. At the time of the meeting Carole had not received the bank card. It has since arrived. MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY Membership figures had not been received for October. SOCIAL EVENTS The same number of people attended the fish and chip supper as in previous years. It was decided to serve free tea and coffee at this event. Gerry asked if we should open the Annual Dinner to members of the River Gipping Trust to boost numbers. This was agreed. The coach trip is going ahead with 35 people and we would welcome anyone else to join us. Carole and Dale called at Pipps Ford before the meeting. Gerry mentioned that Peter a member of the IWA asked if anybody would be interested in joining one of the Locks and Glens trips in the future.
