SHOW & ORDER

A round up of the key trade shows from Berlin. Premium and Seek lead the way. We take a look at the key themes, colours, shapes & fabrics

TREND

COLOURED FUR

Coloured furs update parkas- Jewel tones- pink, teal and cobalt blues. Patchwork colours to inside facings and liners are a good update for juniors. Solid pale pink was the most common colour used.

TREND

CORAL SUNSET

Coral appeared across all fabrications. At Premium it was seen on pearlescent nylons whilst at Panarama more spiced versions of it were used on furs, wools and boucle textures. Looks a strong colour for AW15/16 ranges.

TREND

LONGLINE BOMBER

The bomber gets a longer silhouette with versions appearing through Mens and Ladieswear. Military influences also coming through with jacquard camos or MA1 styling details. This shape translated into shearling very well.

TREND

MODERN MILITARY

Military influences were seen across the board. MA1’s were updated for womens and juniors in bright shades and neon. Ultimate and arctic parkas were given MA3 styling make overs. Herringbone and nylon combinations gave a utility/ workwear feel to puffas.

TREND

CLEAN&SIMPLE

Styling was paired down to highlight technical/fabric interest. Marled and painterley textures to nylons. Tech and rainwear styling was on the rise as brands cover themselves for the tricky Trans period.

TREND

MONOCHROME

Black and white was a key combination for furs- Striped and patchworked together. Bold graphic checks and dogtooth’s were also seen across all shows. Checked wools bonded to borgs was an update for shearling stlyes.

TREND

ULTIMATE PARKA

In a tale of contrasts whilst the parka was seen in its most paired down state it was also seen at its most premium level. Full fur liners, internal removable puffas were common place. Trims detail was really important- a flash of bright orange/red was a nice feature on mens.

TREND

SHEARLING

AW15 catwalks and pre fall see Shearlings as a key look- the same could be said for all the Berlin shows. Sleeveless vests, and longline bombers moved on the silhoutte. Pastel shades and borgs bonded to lightweight melton were key.
