Booking & Cancellations FACILITY RENTAL CANCELLATION/CHANGE POLICY

All Beach Houses, Lodges, Picnic Areas, and Retzer Nature Center Rooms Please read and understand all terms and conditions of your rental agreement at least 31 days prior to the date of your reservation. • CHANGES 30 or more days before event date: By email or phone: parksinfo@waukeshacounty.gov • 262-548-7801. Licensee is welcome to request one change to reservation at no charge. Additional change requests require a cancellation of reservation (see below) and re-booking at full rates. • CHANGES fewer than 30 days before event date: By email or phone: parksinfo@waukeshacounty.gov • 262-548-7801. Licensee is welcome to request one change to reservation within 30 days of their event date at a charge of $35.00. Additional change requests require a cancellation of reservation (see below) and re-booking at full rates. No change requests accepted less than three (3) business days from event date. • CANCELLATIONS: By email or phone: parksinfo@waukeshacounty.gov • 262-548-7801. Reservation may be cancelled at least 30 days from start date at a fee of $35.00. Cancellations requested within 30 days of event result in forfeit of full reservation fee(s). If a Picnic Area or Beach House reservation is cancelled for any reason 30 days or more prior to reservation date, $25.00 of the reservation fee will be forfeited. • REFUNDS: No refunds are given due to unforeseen circumstances or weather conditions unless the park or facilities are officially closed. • LATE CHARGES: Any initial or additional fees not paid within 30 days of rental date will be forwarded to Collections at an additional charge of 28%.

PARK Facility Rental Guide Park Entrance Fees

A Parks annual membership or Parks daily permit is required for each vehicle at Waukesha County fee-based parks. Fee-based parks with rentable areas: Fox Brook Park, Fox River Park, Menomonee Park, Minooka Park, Mukwonago Park, Muskego Park, Naga-Waukee Park, and Nashotah Park • Each Parks facility’s Automatic License Plate Reader system scans each vehicle license plate upon entry to validate When purchasing annual memberships and daily permits, be sure to enter accurate vehicle plate information. • Pay within 5 days of visit to avoid a notice sent via US mail. • 2024 Parks daily permits Date(s) of visit and license plate information must be entered upon purchase:

Fox Brook Lodge Decoration Guidelines

Feel free to decorate any part of the building area that you wish, however, the use of stapler, nails, thumbtacks, and screws in wood is prohibited. No confetti allowed. All tape and decorations are to be removed at the end of your event. • Candles must be in a holder and all wax must be cleaned off surfaces. • Please wipe down tables and chairs. • Please wipe up spills and pick up debris that is on the floor and in the area you use. • Garbage will be emptied at the end of your event by the park staff. If the garbage containers become full during the event, please replace with new bags. • Alcohol is to remain in the building. • You must remove all items, including food, at the conclusion of your event. Anything that is left overnight will be disposed of immediately.

Capacity: About Muskego Park

This 193-acre parcel was purchased in 1958 as the County’s first regional park. It is located in the City of Muskego and offers many recreational opportunities along with beauty and tranquility. Many trails wind through Muskego Park Hardwoods, offering a tranquil atmosphere and home to abundant wildlife. You will find woodpeckers, cerulean warblers, barred owls, and rose-breasted grosbeaks.

The State of Wisconsin Scientific Area Preservation Council named the 60 acres of hardwoods located in the park a State Scientific Area. The area preserves valuable plant communities, demonstrates conservation practices, and offers opportunities to study the region’s natural history. The forest has also been recognized and dedicated as part of the national Old-growth Forest Network.

About Naga-Waukee Park

This 414-acre parcel contains a 206-acre regional park along the shores of Nagawicka Lake. The diverse topographical features that were created during the glacial age offers many recreational opportunities and the boardwalk has spectacular views for great photo opportunities.

The oak hickory forest and thick undergrowth define the trails that wind throughout the park, which is home to many different species of wildlife. Catch glimpses of baltimore orioles, tufted titmouse, hooded warblers, and great horned owls throughout the park. Naga-Waukee War Memorial Golf Course also makes up this large parcel. The 18-hole championship golf course was designed by golf course architect Lawrence Packard. The rugged terrain and breathtaking views of Pewaukee Lake make playing this course an unforgettable experience. Lake access sites managed by park staff at Pewaukee, Nagawicka, and Nemahbin Lakes provide boat launches for getting out on the water with daily pass or annual lake access sticker.

Retzer Learning Center has a variety of rooms available to rent year-round for your special event or meeting. With a kitchen, audio, and data systems, Retzer is the ideal setting for corporate meetings, showers, small weddings, and much more. Retzer Nature Center does not require an entrance fee. 12

Waukesha County Parks have a total of 27 rentable Picnic Pavilions throughout our eight county parks open year-round. Perfect for gathering with family, friends, or co-workers. 17

Rental Agreements All Waukesha County Park facility rentals require a signed Rental Agreement. Please read and understand all terms and conditions of the agreement well in advance of the date of your reservation. Special Use of Reserved Facilities Waukesha County welcomes Licensee to arrange for “party rentals” to be staged at their reserved area(s). For any animals/equipment brought into Waukesha County Parks for the use or enjoyment of your guests, the Special Use Agreement applies. Terms and Conditions Overview

Changes and Cancellations

ALCOHOL: A no-cost permit allows beer and maltbased beverages only in reserved area. Both direct and indirect sales of alcohol are strictly prohibited (eg. cash bar, raffle, tips). No glass bottles.

CHANGES Fewer than 30 days before event date: Reservation fees are not refundable if cancellation is made less than thirty (30) days prior to reservation date. Licensee is welcome to request one change to reservation at a charge of $35.00 (by phone only). Additional change requests require a cancellation of reservation (see below) and re-booking at full rates. No change requests accepted less than three (3) business days from event date.

PARK ENTRANCE: A Daily Permit or an annual Park Membership is required for each vehicle. Guests can purchase permit online at: www.waukeshacounty.gov/ParkEntry Licensee can arrange in advance to cover the cost of one permit for each guest vehicle for day of event.

NOISE: At all times, music and voices are to be confined to your reserved area. FIRES: Fires are to be restricted to the reserved facility’s grill. MINORS: Visitors aged 17 or younger must be accompanied at all times by parent/guardian. Large groups/parties require one adult for every ten minors at all times. DOGS: Dogs must be leashed at all times (six-foot maximum length). Owners of unattended, loud, or aggressive dogs will be asked to remove the dog from the park. FOOD SALES: Sales of food, beverage, or merchandise requires written approval from the Director of Waukesha County Parks & Land Use. Please contact our office at 262-548-7801 to begin the approval process. CLEAN-UP: A charge of $55.00 per hour may be assessed for clean-up beyond the usual and customary. OVERSTAY CHARGE: If the Licensee, their guests, and/ or related renter supplies, contractors, caterers, service providers, decorations, etc. fail to vacate the premises by the time specified in the contract, a $100.00 per hour fee will be applied. DAMAGE: Licensee is responsible for any damage to rental area and surroundings.

The permit holder is required to be onsite with the party and is responsible for ensuring the campsite is maintained in satisfactory condition. If anyone in the party fails to comply with camping and/or park rules, the permit may be revoked without refund, requiring members of the party to leave the park and the permit holder may be assessed additional fees for clean-up and/or damage.
