811 MEADOWSWEET DRIVE CORTE MADERA HENRY AND GLENDA CORNING RESIDENCE
ART GARDENS LANDSCAPE CO OWNER DAVE WASHER 1811 Grand Ave. Suite G, San Rafael, CA 94903
Job commenced on December 5th as a Drainage Project. Chicken Coop had drain issues from sub surface water from hillside. During Winter months the decomposed granite eroded into the street and into the parking area of Apartment complex to the West. The Project expanded to include defining planting areas around the front of the residence

Original photograph of area before work began. Nearby apartment residence routinely parked here The water wash stones are only be a few inches above final grade, serves as a no parking area. I am not attached to these rocks here and can easily remove upon your request.

Original area near the road was filled with dirt and covered with mulch. Neighbors from apartments routinely park cars here. Many people walk into the residence and used this area for their trash. We are building a screen by using plants (not a fence) and making a defined pathway that is safe and keeps debris, trash and dirt out of the street and the county’s drain system. Art Gardens, Dave Washer, is a certified and trained in Bay-Friendly Landscape techniques.
Granitecrete is durable, permeable, used in local stateparks See link on last page
Original area, mulch, debris and loose dirt. This area of street parking had no leveled area for pedestrian and the dirt form this area went straight to the street. The owner paid at her expense to make this area also safe and clean. This area was often used for debris, trash, homeless and other discouraging things. The owner wanted to keep the feeling of defined private space, but not use a fence. photoshop mock up

Photo of hillside water drainage, looks like a spring, but only runs while raining. Never a large volume. Have videos of running during a rain.
Water from hillside flows about 40’ in area that we cleaned and made with less sediment in run-off Pre-existing drainage daylights as natural flow from rains-- it does not run if not raining. 12” culvert drain box, underground, daylights 10’ from street. We did not add or change anything except some cleaner rocks that will be able to catch sediment. The dry creek will be protected by a pedestrian cover, so people will not walk and disturb the area
Photo of existing drainage before work started
Steel walk way is being fabricated at this moment. That order was placed with Van Beber prior to our contact

Pre-existing drainage from Deer Lane. Does not capture much water says neighbors. Large culvert goes underground. Assume that it connects with city’s drainage.
