One of the Christmas highlights for parents of young children is seeing their child’s hand drawn designs transferred onto Christmas cards that they can share with friends and family.
It can be a proud moment to showcase what their child has worked so hard on!
At Wave Ed, we are in a position to offer parents the opportunity to have their child’s Christmas designs printed on not just cards, but a wide range of products including labels, coasters, decorations and even Christmas jumpers!
Our simple streamlined process makes it easy for schools and PTA members to organise, with a dedicated Wave Ed project manager, whilst our online shops means parents experience a straightforward ordering process!
The project can be completed from start to finish in 5 simple steps (including free proof!).
Take a look at these steps over the next few pages.
Once you have confirmed you want to team up with Wave Ed, simply fill in our pre-order form so we have all of the information we need. Then, we will send you everything you need in your starter pack, including:
• Coded templates for each pupil at school, plus extras in case any get lost (or staff want to get involved too). Printable design templates are also available on request.
• Flyers and posters to help promote to parents. (posters, PDF, social media images, email templates)
• Our top tips on how to create the perfect.
• A selection of example products.
Remember to speak to your dedicated project manager to agree on timeframes and deadlines.
Next, the students need to complete their designs using the templates provided.
In the past, schools have found it easiest to organise a period during school time where the artwork can be completed. If this is not possible, you can also set it as a homework activity.
We always ask to keep to the agreed artwork deadlines set between yourself and your project manager. Missing deadlines can lead to delays in delivery, especially during the busy periods.
If anyone is stuck for ideas, we have a selection of design templates to help inspire the young artists!
Once all of the designs have been completed and collected, it is time to send them back to us.
To make this as easy as possible, please discuss collection arrangements with the team. We will come up with the best solution for you. If you are local, we will can come and collect them ourselves, otherwise, we can arrange a courier service.
Once we receive the artwork, we will create printed proof cards of each design, with their unique code attached. These will be sent back to the school for distribution, which can take up to a week after we receive the proofs.
Now for the easy bit. Once you have received the sample cards, we will open the online shop where parents, family and friends can begin to purchase the products featuring the child’s design.
All they need to order is the unique design ID and school code (so we can match the order to the relevant design) and a valid payment card.
Payments are processed electronically via the online shop, so there is no need to collect payments in school.
The agreed deadline will be included on the proof card, as well as on the promotional flyers and posters. Late orders can be placed, however, they incur increased pricing, delivery costs and do not earn commission for the school; so it’s important to get parents to order on time!
Sometimes families like to make multiple orders; the parents could be separated, or grandparents and other extended family members may also want to order. It is possible to make multiple orders, they just need to ensure that they use the same unique design ID.
It can take up to two weeks from the day the online shop closes for us to complete production for the order. If the final products are not required until a later date, free storage can be arranged at our warehouse. To make it easier for you to distribute at school, the orders will be labelled appropriately and sent as one delivery.
A major part of a school taking part in a Christmas design project is to help raise money for either the school or the PTA.
That is why we are being as generous as possible with our rebates (well, it is the season of giving after all!).
We are offering schools and PTA’s £1.50 back on each product sold if your artwork is sent back by the end of September, and £1 back on each product sold for any artwork received later!
