Welcome Thank you for your interest in our custom home larning planners and reading logs. The idea really is a very simple one, to allow each school to include the information that they feel is of most benefit to their staff, pupils and parents in the planner, reducing waste and making the planners far more user friendly. One important thing to remember as you look through this guide is that although there are a lot of pre-designed sections which we hope will cater for most requirements, if you need something different in any section it is no problem to create it especially for you. A lot of the content in this guide originates from customer requests! As well as being manufactured in the same format as the planners, this guide is split into the same sections as the planners, with each section featuring a brief introduction and contents list. Planner Pages One of the best and most popular features of our primary planners is the ability to customise the layout of the planner pages. We have split the weekly double page spread into four sections (see pags 26-27) and have designed a range of components that you can slot into those sections. Components cover topics such as homework recording, spellings, reading record, commendations and home school communications, amongst other things. You simply select the components which you feel best suit your students’ needs and we will create your bespoke diary section for you. Of course, as with every other section of the planner, if you can’t find what you are looking for in our library, simply ask us to create it for you. You will find examples of complete diary layouts, as used by customers in previous years, on pages 56-65.

In addition to the eight planets, there are also a number of dwarf planets including Pluto which was formerly recognised as a planet.

The solar system is thought to be approximately 4500 million years old. It has a central sun with eight planets in orbit around it. Some of the planets have satellites (or moons) orbiting around them.

Our solar system is a tiny part of one of the billions of galaxies that make up the universe. We are about 28000 light years from the centre of our galaxy, the Milky Way.

Structuring Your Planner Now that you have gathered all the information and worked out how many pages your planner needs and what content you require, please use the following pages to write down all the reference numbers and page descriptions in the order you would like them to appear in the planner. Remember that the pages do not have to be in the same order as they appear in this guide, for example you might want your reference section to follow your custom pages, but to appear before the diary. It’s entirely up to you. As you will be aware, some sections such as spelling and foreign languages are made up of multiple pages and the number of pages are shown next to the page description in the list at the beginning of each section. You will need this information when structuring your diary. Other pages like notes pages or reading records are single pages but can be added as many times as you require.
