SOBRE LA COLECCIÓN

Esta colección refleja los tópicos de la cultura americana como la comida rápida, California, el culto a las deportivas, los institutos y en especial esa obsesión por la fama y la belleza que muchas veces conlleva a dramáticos acontecimientos.

Sin llegar a ser una crítica al drama adolescente, “I killed the teen dream”, inspirada en títulos como Twin peaks, Jawbreaker pasando por The virgin suicides o Heathers, ésta colección describe esta historia en dos fases de color.

Comienza con unos rigurosos negros de duelo y luto por la pérdida de la joven Quinn Johnson,como una profunda metáfora del sentimiento de vacío, la soledad y la frivolidad juvenil.

La segunda etapa se posiciona en el lado opuesto de la realidad, en la superficie, con colores alegres y tonos suaves, todo ello para reflejar el desenfreno adolescente, la sensación de libertad y de que todo es posible, el tonteo con esas cosas 'prohibidas' que siempre tientan.

Quinn Johnson es la protagonista de esta historia tan trivial. Inteligente, bella, popular, ella era todas esas cosas, pero sobre todo era muy dulce. Quinn, era como la Lady Di del instituto Encino Valley.

Todas soñaban con ser como ella, ya os lo podéis imaginar, también sucedería en vuestro instituto.

Fue una lástima lo que le ocurrió en su décimoséptimo cumpleaños...
