GCPD shares infant safe sleep reminders
When it’s time for your baby to sleep, always place him or her on a firm surface, like a mattress covered in a fitted sheet in a crib. Don’t place your baby on soft surfaces like a couch or pillow.
Keep your baby safe by staying awake when you care for them during the night and put them back in their crib when you’re ready to go back to sleep. We know it’s hard. Here are some ideas to try:

According to Gaston County Department of Health & Human Services, 13 Gaston County babies died as a result of unsafe sleep in 2021.
Entries may be two and three dimensional but limited to paintings, drawings, sculpture, mixed media, print-making, and fine craft.
Entry Fee is $30 for up to 2 entries. Additional entries $5 each (each artist may have up to 4 total entries in the show).

To make sure all the babies in your life sleep safely, remember and spread the word about the ABCs of infant safe sleep: ALONE, on my BACK, in my CRIB. Use the ABCs for EVERY sleepnaps and nighttime.
