2022/23 COMMERCIAL BROCHURE

Hello and welcome to our 2022/23 commercial brochure for Newcastle Town FC Newcastle Town Football Club continues to represent our borough Newcastle Under Lyme in playing football at Step 4 of the English football pyramid. Sponsorship provides vital revenue to our football club, as it allows us to keep our club running in not just helping our club's first team but also the very strong youth system that we have here at the club which is based out of Roe Lane. We are delighted to be able to launch full details of our commercial packages for the 2022/23 season – this is our biggest shake-up in this area for a number of years as we begin our preparations for the up and coming season. The club has two sites our stadium is based in Lyme Valley Parkway which we share with Newcastle Cycle Track club and our training base which is at Roe Lane, both sites see high footfall traffic every week with all our junior and youth teams playing and training at Roe Lane and from our stadium we have function events int he week, the Newcastle Cycle Track club at the stadium 2 nights a week and our first team playing most Saturdays when we are at home. In the 2021/22 season, we had 3,279 supporters via our gate on just first team matchdays with an average of 163 per game up on our last full previous season as we lost 2 years due to covid. Our club website also contributes to our footfall online as in the 2021/22 football season (August21/April22) we had over 40,000 views of our website and in 2021 alone we had 43,000 and we had no football at the start of 2021 due to the season been curtaintailed due to covid. Our club is also strong across social media with 4,000 followers on our Facebook and over 8,000 followers on Twitter where we post-match updates on all first-team games and a large selection of youth games from the ages 16 upwards. We have various sponsorship opportunities now at our club and we would like to show case these to you today. CLUB HISTORY Newcastle Town FC emerged in its current format from a merger with Parkway Clayton in 1986. The Stadium, deep in the Lyme Valley Parkway in Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire has a capacity of 4,000, covered accommodation for 1000, seating for 300, a clubhouse, and a £85,000 floodlighting system. The playing surface is surrounded by one of the few recognised cycling tracks in the north of the country which hosts many competitions and was previously used by the Great British Cycling Team. In the 96/97 season, the club enjoyed a tremendous run in the FA Cup defeating Winsford United, Frickley, and Bamber Town from the Unibond League on their way to the first round proper where they narrowly lost to Notts County, the oldest league club in the world, at what was to be one of the last cup ties at Stoke City’s famous Victoria Ground. in Season 2009/10 Newcastle Town achieved their dream of promotion. They led the Vodkat League from day 1 and by the time they dropped their first points having won the first 28 games, the title was almost secure. Best start, most League wins in a season and most points were three of the records that the club broke. They also lifted the Staffs Senior Cup for the first time with an amazing 6-1 victory over Port Vale at Vale Park. A major development for the club happened in July 2016 when the Youth Section moved to a new home. The Roe Lane Playing Fields site is a 20-acre football center, with 14 well-sized changing rooms, a club shop, offices, and a community room, located in Newcastle-under-Lyme, just 1 mile away from the 1st Teams Lyme Valley home. Further developments followed in September 2016 when Club Director Gavin Appleby set up the “Newcastle Town Football & Education Academy” allowing 16-19 year olds to study for a BTEC Sports qualification while continuing their football journey under the guidance of ex-professional footballer Robin van der Laan. In the 2017/18 season, Newcastle appointed Robin van der Laan as first-team manager and Castle continued with their development of youth players progressing into full-time football under the stewardship of Robin and his team. The redevelopment of the Lyme Valley and Stadium continued with a brand-new café being built, the director's lounge upgraded, and a new club shop located by the away stand installed. Ryan Mclean and James Melhado were transferred from the 1st Team to Hereford FC and Salford City respectively during the 2021-2022 pre-season.
