Primary Health Organisation Chief Executive Officers Sent by email Zostavax Underpayment On 22 June 2018 I advised of the District Health Boards commitment to fairly compensate General Practices that did not submit a double claim for Zostavax and Influenza vaccinations administered on the same day for the period 1 April 2018 to 3 June 2018. A copy of this letter is attached for your convenience. I am pleased to provide you with an update on this matter. The National General Managers Planning and Funding have agreed to compensate these General Practices with an additional payment of $15.00 (GST exclusive) for each Zostavax vaccine given that meets the following payment parameters: 
Patients aged between 65 and 80 at time of vaccination; and

Given a Zostavax vaccination on the same day as the Influenza vaccine between 1 April 2018 and 3 June 2018.
Claims for these vaccinations are subject to verification by your local District Health Board before payment can be authorised. As this is a one-off process you will need to liaise directly with your District Health Board and General Practices regarding local payment arrangements.
