COPD Fundamentals Workshop for Primary Care Nurses This workshop provides an opportunity for nurses to develop skills and develop their clinical practice to effectively run a nurse led clinic for those with COPD. Attendance at this 6 hr workshop is also a requirement to be claiming the WBoP PHO funding stream for COPD. Facilitated by Caroline Vanstone – NP; Health and Wellness Services

Topic- COPD Fundamentals for Primary Care DATEs: Wednesday 25th March, 2020 TIME: 8.30-3pm VENUE: Kowhai Room. Clinical Education Centre, Cameron Road. Tauranga At the end of this session attendees will be able to: • Understand the pathophysiology of COPD and identify those at risk with correct diagnosis • Understand GOLD classification, including lifestyle and pharmacological management of COPD and recognise the different inhaler devices and be competent in use • Feel confident in being able to manage a nurse led COPD clinic
