Counselling & Brief Intervention
Individual Counselling (up to 6 hours of funded counselling) for patients with moderate depression or anxiety and/or more complex presenting issues.

Referral to WBOPPHO: All PMS – submit BPAC Midland eReferral WBOPPHO – Public > CPO Mental Health > Individual Counselling or Individual Counselling – Brief interventions
Individual Treatment $34.50 per referral.
Postnatal Depression/ Anxiety Support Group Group Programme $34.50 per referral.
• Brief Intervention (up to 3 hours of funded counselling) for patients with mild depression or anxiety.

An education and skills base course to improve maternal mental health.
• •
For women experiencing postnatal depression, anxiety or struggling emotionally with the adjustments and demands in the first year of child rearing. An open group run on a Wednesday from 12.30pm to 2.30pm over an 8 week duration.
Stress Less Course Group Programme for Adult Anxiety $34.50 per referral.

Patient must be aged > 12 years and If aged 12 to 18 years, must have clear consent from a parent/guardian/significant other and Enrolled and funded in a WBOP PHO general practice and Be diagnosed with mild to moderate depression and/or anxiety disorders and Have a Kessler 10 score over 20.
Note: Patients are not eligible if they can access subsidised counselling through other services e.g. WINZ, ACC, Family Courts, etc.

Patient must be aged > 18 years and Diagnosed with mild to moderate depression and/or anxiety disorders by their GP and Enrolled and funded in a WBOP PHO general practice and Have a completed Kessler 10.

An education and skills based course for people who experience significant anxiety that impacts on their daily lives.

A closed group programme with definite start dates run on a Tuesday from 2.30pm to 4.30pm over a 6 week duration.

Patient must be aged > 18 years and Diagnosed with mild to moderate depression and/or anxiety disorders by their GP and Enrolled and funded in a WBOP PHO general practice and Have a completed Kessler 10.

How to Refer and / or Claim
An education and skills based programme for people with mild – moderate depression, anxiety and other similar stressors.

Referral to WBOPPHO: All PMS – submit BPAC Midland eReferral WBOPPHO – Public > CPO Mental Health > Group – Positive Empowerment Programme
An open group programme run on a Monday between 9–11am over a 6 week duration.
Note: Patients are not eligible if they can access subsidised counselling through other services e.g. WINZ, ACC, Family Courts, etc.
Extended consultations are to be used instead of referring for group programmes or individual counselling NOT as well as.

Patient may be referred to a higher step if the outcome of the therapy prescribed at the extended consultation has not achieved a successful outcome (improvement).
Individual brief intervention. The objective of the Social Worker is to improve mental health and wellbeing by providing a range of options to relieve the symptoms of psychosocial distress caused by external stressors.

Patient must be aged > 18 years and Diagnosed with mild depression and/or anxiety disorders by their GP and Enrolled and funded in a WBOP PHO general practice

Patient must be aged > 18 years and Diagnosed with mild to moderate depression and/or anxiety disorders by their GP and • Enrolled and funded in a WBOP PHO general practice and • Patient receives at least one of the following services: Medication Review (after initiating antidepressant medication) Registration for ‘Beating the Blues’ e-Therapy Links to self-help resources to manage mood, anxiety, stress or alcohol and substance use issues. Alcohol Brief Intervention using the ABC approach Note: Up to two extended consults per year per client will be funded.

Patients who are experiencing a situational crisis who need acute mental health input should NOT be referred to the CPO Mental Health Programme.
