Te Hiringa Mahara have published a mental health and addiction service monitoring report, Kua Tīmata Te Haerenga | The Journey has Begun.
This report focuses on access to mental health and addiction services and options available over the five years from July 2018 to June 2023.
The report can be accessed at www.mhwc.govt.nz/monitoring
Additional information is available here Mental Health and Wellbeing Commission (mhwc.govt.nz)
The Department of Internal Affairs would like to hear your views on the proposed process to meet the preliminary notice of death requirement that will come into force on December 15 2024. This is a result from the changes made to the Births, Deaths, Marriages, and Relationships Registration Act 2021.
From December 2024, medical and nurse practitioners will have to provide a preliminary notice of death to the RegistrarGeneral of Births, Deaths and Marriages within three working days after giving the death certificate. The Department of Internal Affairs, with the support from the Ministry of Health and Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, is developing requirements so a medical practitioner or nurse practitioner can provide a PNOD to the Registrar-General.
