Positive Empowerment Programme About the Programme The Positive Empowerment Programme is an education/skills based group offered to people with mild-moderate depression, anxiety disorders and other similar stressors.

The goal for programme participants is to gain healthy coping strategies to help assist them with their health wellbeing.

The objectives for the programme are: 1. To promote independent ways to perform daily activities more efficiently. 2. To identify barriers and goal directed solutions for independence. 3. To encourage ways to adapt and maintain functional ability. 4. To encourage participation and enlist the strength of a therapeutic environment for networking and resourcing.

Personality in perspective - understanding emotional changes and challenging selfdefeating behaviour Goals setting, to assist in achieving balance and meaningful activity Discussing depression and anxiety and a brief over-view of addiction
Programme details: The programme will run for six weeks in each school term on Mondays, 9 am – 11 am. The Positive Empowerment Programme was developed by Jannine Eades Services and will be facilitated by the same service. Group norms and guidelines will be established and explained each session.
