WHAT IS PSYCHOLOGICAL FIRST AID? Psychological First Aid (PFA) builds the capacity of people who find themselves supporting and assisting affected people shortly after a disaster or any other traumatic event. This training promotes natural recovery by providing techniques to help people feel safe, connected to others, able to help themselves and access physical, emotional and social support.
