Primary Sector Workforce Capacity and Capability Survey
A message from the three Bay of Plenty Primary Health Organisation survey sponsors Compared to the District Health Board workforce, as individual PHOs and collectively as the Bay of Plenty Primary Health sector, we know very little about our primary health sector workforce. As vital members of a Practice Team, we don’t know how old you all are, the hours you work, what you do, the mentoring you provide, your specialty areas and when and where you trained. The list goes on and on. Information about the primary sector workforce is really important. After all, this is where most of the population accesses most of their health care and health information. By completing this survey you will be contributing to a better understanding of our current primary sector workforce. The three Bay of Plenty Primary Health Organisations (PHOs) are teaming up with HealthShare Ltd to conduct this survey. HealthShare Ltd will support us to run the survey, securely store the data and to provide both Practice-level reporting of the results and a consolidated view across your PHO. Your results will be combined with results from other surveys and may be added to other data so that as a collective we can learn more about the workforce and inform workforce planning and development. Non identifiable data may be provided to academic institutions for research purposes. HealthShare Ltd is the shared service agency for the midlands region www.healthshare.health.nz. The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete. There is a section for everyone in the Practice Team and then there are other sections for specific occupational groups. The online survey tool branches automatically. Please promote the survey to others in your organisation.
Running the survey Practice managers will receive a link to the survey for the members of their practice to use. The survey can be run multiple times from the same IP address. Hard copy surveys are available from Ruth Ross at ruth.ross@healthshare.co.nz or 021 828 647
