RECAP on Community Services Cards & U14 Implementation Latest timetable, below:

Communications for the Public: Posters have been developed by MOH for display in general practice from 1 Dec, if available for download the PHO will print these posters & have them available for distribution at the Practice Managers meeting on the 28th Nov. Charging Cap for Enrolled CSC holders & their dependents: Initiative requires practices to charge no more than $18.50 for adults and $12.50 for youth aged 14 – 17 years for a standard day time nurse or GP consultation. This does not include after hours or weekend services. Fees for ACC Related Visits: From Dec 1, ACC related visits have an increased contribution to encourage the matching of zero fees for U14, capped co-payments for CSC holders & their dependants (at $18.50 & $12.50 respectively). Data Matching: The December and January CSC payments will be calculated through a data match of CSC holder names and date of births on MSD record, compared against our registers. There will be CSC cards unable to be matched & possibly some mis-matches as the NHI is not included in the data match. As patients present their CSC cards, it will be in your interest to ensure the name loaded on the CSC card matches one of the names loaded against the patient in NES. Once we go live with NES on 1 Feb 19, the CSC payments will be calculated from the information saved in NES. PMS Updates: On 26 November NES will be updated with the new CSC numbers from MSD. The week 26 – 30 November practices should be arranging for the new PMS updates to be installed. The update will provide your new functionality in NES, enabling you to add any cards that are still missing into NES. The update should also allow you easy view of CSC entitlement.

RECAP on Community Services Cards & U14 Implementation Dependent Children: If you have actioned the list of dependent children of CSC holders, keep a note of those dependents who are eligible for CSC discounts. Once your PMS has been updated for CSC & U14, you may want to refer back to those children in order to upload their CSC numbers into NES. We have also confirmed with MOH that they will have a list of dependent children from MSD which will be matched against your register, however they do not expect this to be a complete list and improvement to the data will need to be made through NES. Option to run additional Import: There will also be the option to import CSC data via a refreshed ASR file on the 28 th November. We will advise you when making the decision whether running this import will be effective for your practice, as it may overwrite the changes you have already made to your register. WBOP PHO After Hours $10 Subsidy for Under 13’s: From 1 December 2018 this subsidy will be extended to apply to Under 14 years.
