CLEAN CITIES QUESTION OF THE MONTH
WISCONISIN CLEAN CITIES 2014 ANNUAL REPORT The Wisconsin Clean Cities Coalition today announced that in 2014 its member fleets and stakeholders displaced more than 21 million gasoline gallon equivalents (GGEs) of petroleum and over 70,000 tons of greenhouse-gas emissions. “These numbers, the coalition’s highest numbers to date, are a great representation of the work our members are doing around the state,” said Lorrie Lisek, Executive Director of Wisconsin Clean Cities (WCC). “This incredible accomplishment would not be possible without the efforts of our coalition’s stakeholders, which include commercial fleets and municipalities throughout the state of Wisconsin.” Read Full Press Release

MATC OFFERING CNG TANK & FUEL INSPECTION CLASSES MATC will be offering two CNG Tank and Fuel System Inspection Diesel 401 Classes June 16-17, 2015: Diesel 401-400 (00105166) August 18-19, 2015: Diesel 401-401 (00105167) Classes are scheduled from 8:00 to 4:30 PM each day. Course Description: This course is designed to instruct students in the proper procedures required to visually inspect CNG fuel systems from high pressure cylinders through the 1ststage regulator. It covers cylinder identification, installation, General and Detailed Visual Inspections, proper venting (de-fueling), disposal and documentation. It is intended to raise the reliability of the industry and confidence of the general public in the safe handling and maintenance of high pressure natural gas storage systems. This class will prepare you to take the CSA certification exam. Note the CSA Exam will need to be scheduled with CSA independently if you wish to become certified through CSA. Website & Flyer

Black Dog Corp was founded in Chicago in 2006 by Amit Gauri, with humble beginnings, the business quickly started growing. By 2009 Black Dog Corp had become a commodities distributor of many items and soon gained large volume clients including The State of Illinois, Cook County, and The City of Chicago. In 2010 with the mentorship of close family friends in the petroleum business Black Dog Corp gained access to products that were typically only sold by regional manufactures distributors. The sales of motor oils, lubricants, fuels and chemicals became Black Dogs main focus and Black Dog Corp obtained MBE/ DBE certifications as a fuel and petroleum (gasoline, diesel, LPG, natural gas, oils, lubricants and chemicals) wholesaler and started winning bids for multiple large governmental contracts. In addition to winning government contracts, Black Dog Corp increased its business with both public and private sector companies. Black Dog Corp has relationships with major oil companies including BP, Castrol, Mobil, Shell, Valvoline, and Motorcraft along with many others. In the last few years Black Dog further added to its experienced executive management team with diverse backgrounds in fuels, alternative fuels, oils, lubricants, chemicals and fleet industries. Black Dog Corp. supplies traditional fuels including gasoline and diesel blends as well as alternative fuels (bio fuels and LPG currently), oils, lubricants, and chemicals. Black Dog has been working with a partner company and is planning CNG stations as well as a cleaner diesel fuel plants making the cleaner higher quality diesel fuel from natural gas. With other partners we are also now able to offer vehicle conversions to CNG or LPG. In the last couple of years Black Dog has added specialty trucks to transport bulk oil and fuels as well as to wet fill customer’s vehicles at their worksites. Black Dog Corp currently is a supplier to The Chicago Transit Authority, The City of Chicago, Cook County, The State of Illinois, Midway International Airport, O’Hare International Airport, The Illinois Tollway, Chicago Skyway, Intren, Riggs Distler, Dunbar Armored, United Road Towing, Altom Transport, Midwest Wrecking, and many others. In 2014 Black Dog Corp was awarded the “Supplier of the Year” by The Minority Supplier Development Council and was featured in Crain’s Chicago Business. Black Dog Corp was also awarded “Company of the Year” as part of The UBS Elevating Entrepreneurs’ program. Black Dog works closely with many vendors to supply superior products in all categories at competitive prices and pride ourselves on customer service. Black Dog now has its original offices in Chicago and has since added offices, warehouse and distribution center in Westchester, IL and in 2015 opened an office in Madison WI.
