Technician 5th Grade. Duty Date May 29, 1941. Stationed in Algeria with the 34th Division, Medical Detachment 3rd Battalion, 168th Combat Team. Fought in Battle of Sidi Bou Zid then captured by the Germans in North Africa on Feb. 17 1943. POW at Stalag 111B Furstenberg, Germany until he was selected for a prisoner exchange in Jan. 1945. He was repatriated in Feb. 1945. Our HERO, our DAD, our GRANDPA, our GREAT GRANDPA!
