Mom was in the Vietnam War. She enlisted before it was “fashionable” for women to be there, but she stayed and retired from the Navy after 21 years. I lost her this year to cancer, I miss her, she loved her country very much.

He was in the Canal Zone during the Cuban Crisis and off the coast of West Nam during the Vietnam Conflict. While off the coast of Japan his ship was struck by another ship.
