Creative Writing | Poetry

Poetry is to prose as dancing is to walking.” -- Paul Valery. Come dance with me! This class is an introduction to poetry and lyrical writing. Cynthia Storrs, published writer and prize-winning poet, will lead students through a variety of poetic styles, including rhyming, formal, and free verse. The course will be run as a workshop, with participants writing and then sharing their work. Students should bring their own laptop, tablet, or pen and paper. Instructor: Cynthia Storrs

Pre-School Prep

If your child is ready to learn skills needed to be confident, prepared, and excited for school, but isn’t ready for an all-day class, then this is the perfect opportunity. Each day will have a theme to help guide class practice, play, and learning. With reading, writing, mathematical concepts, and hands-on activities, little ones will have fun seeing what school is all about! *$10 supply fee paid to instructor at the start of first class. Instructor: Brittany Whipple, M.Ed, Vanderbilt University and MTSU, former math teacher with Williamson County Schools, and mom to 3 young learners.

Engineering for Kids: Pre-K STEM

The Pre-K Engineering classes introduce our youngest engineers to fundamental concepts of Engineering and what Engineers are all about. During this session, students will use the engineering design process and undertake several engineering projects from disciplines like, Civil engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering and more. Instructor: Engineering for Kids
