As the play begins, Fefu is railing against women to her friends Cindy and Christina. After Fefu’s done, she lets her guests in on a cat-and-mouse game that she plays with her unseen husband, consisting of her firing a gun at him. Pretty soon, the rest of the gang shows up at the door: A showboat named Emma makes a glamorous entrance in traditional Indian robes; the repressed Sue and Paula enter tentatively; and the handicapped Julia is rolled in on a wheelchair that she may or may not need as a result of an injury that Fefu may or may not have inflicted. Confused yet? Come see Fefu and friends tell their story.

The Visit

Student Written One Acts

MainStage Theatre, E. O. Bull Center for the Arts A wealthy woman returns to her debt-ridden hometown and offers a sum greater than they have ever imagined to help. But there is a condition: she wants the life of a villager who years ago had caused her to be expelled from town in disgrace. Ringing denial of this ludicrous demand is followed by the gradual corruption of everyone in town. What does the town decide?

J. Peter Adler Studio Theatre, E. O. Bull Center for the Arts The Student Written One Acts is an evening of short plays penned by the Theatre 313 Playwriting Class. Come see plays reflecting issues and themes that are resonate to college students from West Chester University. We are pleased again to have our talented students serve as directors, designers, technicians, stage managers and, of course, actors to present this performance of original student work.
