ABOUT THE SOLOIST

Kevin Scheetz is a senior music education major at West Chester University from Red Lion, Pennsylvania. While at West Chester, he has performed with the West Chester University "Incomparable" Golden Rams Marching Band, Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Trombone Ensemble, Men's Choir and Concert Choir. Kevin taught with the Golden Rams Marching Band during the 2019 season, Boyertown Area Marching Unit as a Low Brass Technician during their 2020 season, worked as a Wells School of Music Ambassador, and was a founding member of the Wells School of Music Student Advisory Board. Kevin has played in masterclasses for world-renowned trombonists Brad Edwards and Peter Steiner. He has participated in the WCU Freshman Scholarship Solo Competition and placed first in the WCU Sophomore Scholarship Solo Competition. Kevin hopes to be a high school band director in the future and wishes to continue his education in the field of conducting.
