MURDER AT YELLOWSTONE CITY (DVD)
Janet Saunders never spoke about her past. Her daughters Alise and Susie always assumed this was because there was nothing to talk about. Until the day of their mother's funeral. A mysterious stranger turns up and reveals he is their real father. Shocked, the women listen as he tells them damaging stories about their mother.
A former slave arrives in Yellowstone City, a former boomtown in decline, looking for a place to call home. That same day, a local prospector discovers gold and is murdered. As the mystery deepens, the clash between faith and the law threatens to tear the town apart.
DECEPTION BY LESLEY PEARCE
A decade ago, Emily Carlino vanished after her car broke down on a California highway. She was presumed to be one of serial killer Ronny Lee Dessup's victims whose remains were never found. EVERYONE IN MY FAMILY HAS KILLED SOMEONE BY BENJAMIN STEVENSON
10WESTERNDOWNSLIBRARIES.COM/BOOKCLUB
Diana McIntyre and her four boys have had a tough eighteen months but with the love and support of her family, she believes their lives are finally back on track. Diana's dream of starting a flower farm has been the perfect diversion, with an elderly dahlia expert showing her the ropes. She won't have to do this alone.
The Cunninghams in this story are not the 'Happy Days' variety. They rarely meet and only have one thing in common – they have all killed someone. So when someone has the bright idea of a family reunion, we know sparks are going to fly. This new release from Benjamin Stevenson is a cracking read. Stevenson has succesfully re-created a bygone sub-genre for a thoroughly modern audience.
Calaena has survived deadly contests and shattering heartbreak - but at an unspeakable cost. Now, she must travel to a new land to confront her darkest truth...a truth about her heritage that could change her life - and her future - forever.
Our inner voice is a powerful compass that helps us navigate the world. If it is positively harnessed, it will become an inspiring coach and lifelong guide. In this book, professor Ethan Kross shares powerful but simple tools to make your brain's musings work for you.

I am so grateful we can offer these services to our community. I have lived in the area long before the library opened so personally feel my life has been enriched for having a library in our town. Many travelling visitors to the centre comment how lucky we are to have a library in a town our size and I feel it really does add to the liveability of community - Annie
WHY DO YOU LOVE YOUR JOB?
The Moonie Rural Transaction Centre is the hub of the community. It is a multipurpose facility which holds the library as well as the Visitor Information Centre, locally made arts and crafts store and the Community Postal Agent. Small but mighty, Moonie Library is the smallest of our nine branches. Vanessa, Rowie, Leanne and Annie are the wonderful ladies you will meet there.
It's definitely the people that make it! The community and visitors that come through the centre make my job very enjoyableRowie I love the tight Moonie community (always there for each other). The visitors from other areas are always interested in having a chat and hearing about our area; what a bonzer of fun they are. The city slickers are amazed that we live in such a small town. "What do you do all day? How far are the doctors? Where do you get your groceries?" - Leanne
Let's hear what they have to say about their work at Moonie Library...
Moonie Library offers many different events and activities including workshops for the local school and community. We are lucky to be able to have visiting authors, illustrators (much loved by the school children!) and many varied workshops available from knitting, creative sewing, gardening and more.

WHAT DOES MOONIE LIBRARY HAVE TO OFFER?
Bookclub offers a social hub for our ladies to meet, enjoy a cuppa and a chat.
Moonie's newest group is The Mah Jong Ladies (Chinese Tile) game, which is very popular.
COLLECTION RECOMMENDATION
Moonie is proudly known as the first inland oil field discovered in Australia. Many of the older visitors comment of learning about Moonie Oil fields in the early 1960's during their school years. In the early days, small bottles of oil were sold for 50c per bottle and the money raised went to the school community.
MOONIE LIBRARY LOVERS
MOONIE FUN FACT!
The people do. We meet all kinds of people. And every day is different. Some days a library officer, other days a postal officer, or an information officer. We might be a listening board, or an unqualified counsellor. I love it - Leanne
My favourite collection would be mystery and crime, but I do also love the odd historical romance! - Rowie I love true crime. What makes people's minds tick. How humans behave in certain situations. We're born but life is uncertain; enjoy every dayLeanne
Moonie Library has given me the opportunity to read more broadly. Especially due to having a bookclub group at our local library. It gives the children in our community an opportunity to access books beyond what is available at their school library and enables them to read more widely. The staff are very helpful and friendly - Evie Brown. That's why I live just a few kilometres from Moonie. I love the library and I love the staff. The staff are always helpful, happy and polite. It's part of why I joined the library. I enjoy reading and the activities held at my library. It provides a safe and fun filled day with my friends - Dawn Brown 12
