I grew up on a small farm in South-central Indiana. My parents were Southerners. Dad was from Northeast Mississippi and Mom was from here in Tennessee. Their roots run deep in Southern soil going back over three hundred years, to Jamestown Colony in Virginia. I moved to Tennessee in 1985, and this is probably where I will be when I die. I am proud of my heritage, as everyone should be theirs. Several of my ancestors were Revolutionary War patriots, more served during the War of 1812, and several served in the Confederate Army and one served in in Federal Army during the Civil War. My paternal grandfather was an Army veteran in the 1920's with B Company, 29th Infantry Division, at Fort Benning Georgia. I don't like living in town. I much prefer living in the country where I can raise a garden, fish hunt and do a lot of things people who live in towns and cities don't get to do. I believe more people need to learn HOW to grow their own food and become self-sufficient. While some people are not abl
