The synergy of competence and innovation Light-emitting diodes have now been available as a new source of light for about a decade. LED technology offers a broad range of benefits, the most significant being that it offers massive potential for energy savings. Additional opportunities for protecting the climate and environment result from other properties such as, for example, a long service life, excellent control potential, and small size and flexibility. These strengths have made LEDs a popular replacement for conventional lighting technologies. Their technologybased advantages are ideal for exterior lighting applications.

WE-EF is numbered among the pioneers of LED applications and, with its extensive knowledge and experience has brought technological developments to market maturity that have resulted in particularly efficient lighting solutions. Inventions such as the OLCŽ One LED Concept or RFCŽ Reflection Free Contour technologies demonstrate the level of innovation at WE-EF. The desire to always be one step ahead of the state-of-theart combined with a reliable sense for current technological trends and quality of design has resulted in great strides being made – to the benefit of both users of luminaires and the environment.

Designed to endure Design and Engineering The most important element in the design process is the development of luminaires that encompass timeless design; in other words, design that best reflects their enduring qualities.

In addition, state-of-the-art engineering brings with it the highest standards with regard to environmentally-friendly materials and processes, i.e., high IP ratings, excellent thermal management and innovative optical systems. The development of high-end, efficient reflectors and lenses is one of the core competencies of WE-EF. This means compliance with international lighting and safety norms, while meeting the criteria of such organizations as the Dark Sky Society. Continual investment in research and development is the basic condition for meeting these requirements. WE-EF innovations, such as IOS Innovative Optical Systems, CTAŽ Cool Touch Adaptor, ASC Anti Slip Coating and OLCŽ One LED Concept, are just some examples of the company’s continuing investment in technology.
