Million metric tons indian chrysenthemum production

Chrysanthemum is one of the most important ower crops commercially grown in different parts of the world. This ower produces more yield under greenhouse conditions. In India, commercial cultivation of this ower has good demand. This ower has different names in different belts in India; its called Guldaudi in Hindi belt, Chandramalika in the eastern state, Samanti in the southern states and Shevanti in the western states. The chrysanthemum belongs to the family of "Asteracea" and genus of "Chrysanthemum L.". Basically this ower is native to Europe and Asia. Chrysanthemum can be grown in greenhouse; poly house, shade-net, pots, containers and even backyards. Chrysanthemum owers are mainly used for garland making, religious offerings and as cut- ower for party arrangements. When it comes to botanical description of chrysanthemum plant, the species of chrysanthemum have shallow root system with herbaceous perennial nature growing about 50 cm 150 cm tall, with deeply lobed leaves and large ower heads; yellow, pink or white. As ower demand is very high in India, one should plan properly to get the owers in the market especially in marriages and festival seasons.

Soil Management

Sowing & Seed Treatment

We all know that soil is a key element of agriculture. Without it we wouldn´t be able to grow plants, which are used as food for both humans and animals.

seed is the most vital and crucial input for crop production, one of the ways to increase the productivity without adding appreciably to the extent of land now under cultivation by planting quality seed.

Water Management Water is very important for both livestock and for plants. It forms a large part of all plant tissues as well as being an essential component of all animal body cells. In crop agriculture, water is an important climatic factor. It affects or determines plant growth and development.

Pest and Disease Management

Harvest and Storage

Harvest & Storage

Pest & Disease Management

Harvesting is the process of gathering a ripe crop from the ď€ elds. Reaping is the cutting of grain or pulse for harvest. harvesting is the most labor-intensive activity of the growing season.

Plant diseases and other pest organisms that damage agricultural crops. Pesticides help farmers to reduce crop damage from pests and increase food production.

Climate Basically the chrysanthemum plant is a short day plant, in other words, it requires long days for vegetative growth and short days for owering.

Light and temperature are the main factors that in uence the growth of the plants and owering.

MANAGEMENT Chrysanthemum highly dependent on the climate. Agricultural activities are affected by climate change affects due to their direct dependence on climatic factors.

For its vegetative growth it requires long day with bright sunlight and high temperature ranging from 20 °C to 28 °C.

For bud formation and owering it requires short day and low temperature ranging from 10 °C to 28 C.

This crop requires the relative humidity of 75% to 90.3/. which suitable for proper plant growth.

Soil

MANAGEMENT

Soil health is the key to your farm's pro t and production. It underpins the fertility and crop production of a farming enterprise, providing the rice crop with water, oxygen, nutrients and support.

Having good amount of organic matter will result in excellent yield. Avoid the soils where too much of water stagnation is possible.

The best suitable soil for chrysanthemum cultivation is well-drained sandy loam good textured soils.

Supplementing the farm yard manure of 20 to 25 tonnes/ha in the last plough is recommended.

The land should be prepared by giving 2 to 3 ploughings followed by harrowing to prepare the beds for planting.

The optimal soil pH range for its growth is 6.5 to 7.5.

Water The frequency of irrigation depends on the stage of growth; soil and weather conditions. roper drainage system should be maintained for chrysanthemum grown both in beds and in pots.

MANAGEMENT Water is very important for both livestock and for plants. It forms a large part of all plant tissues as well as being an essential component of all animal body cells. In crop agriculture, water is an important climatic factor. It affects or determines plant growth and development.

Irrigation should be carried twice a week in the rst month.

And subsequently at weekly intervals.

HEERA ZINC PLUS Zinc is most important nutrient in all the micro nutrient. It used manly in to improve nutrient growth in Soil. It improves the health and makes greenery in crops. It acts as resistant against disease and gives proper growth. Dosage: Foliar Spray @ 250 gm/acre in 250ltrs water.

Quantity 250 gm per acre / 250 ltr. of water

Aasra

(Adjuvant)

Aasra is a unique new generation spray booster and activator, having novel technology to farming community of India which makes the agrochemicals (Insecticide, Fungicide, Herbicide, Plant Growth Regulator, Fertilizer and Micronutrient) performs better. Aasra solution spreads quickly, and provides enhanced spreading of agrochemicals on the leaf surfaces and leads to better spray coverage, which improves the ef cacy of the agrochemical used. It is when added to spray water tank lowers the tension of spray water on leaf surface, which promotes the better spreading and penetration of Agro product. Aasra is compatible with most agrochemical formulations and can be used on a wide variety of crops. It has improved deposition of the agro product which enhances its coverage and retention on foliage. It ensures the solution doesn't wash off even after immediate rain. Aasra is designed in such a way that it ensures proper wetting of leaf surface, which makes the pesticide or agro product uptake and absorption rapidly by the plant. It ensures the proper penetration of the agrochemical product into the plant by reducing the droplet sizes of the spray. It is suggested to uses Aasra with agrochemicals at 0.025%-0.1% dose. General recommendation is 5 ml/ 15 lit. of water.

Quantity 5 ml/ 15 lit. of water.

HPM Gold

(Bio-fertlizer)

HPM GOLD is unique product containing microbes as VesicularArbuscular Mycorrhiza (VAM) and has broad spectrum action in granular form. It contains granular spores and other propagules of VAM Mycorrhizal Fungi in a granular carrier and has broad spectrum fertilizer activity. Due to high solubility in water it is absorbed rapidly through plants and roots, resulting maximum supply of compost and micronutrient to the crop. HPM Gold improves the roots growth with excellent root setting, resulting greenness by vanishing yellowing in crop. It helps in greater utilization of nutrients, and provides plant protection from disease causing organism to the root and also makes insect resistant plant. It is completely safe to use HPM Gold. Its mycelial threads penetrate inward into the root, thereby increasing the surface area for absorption and translocation of essential plant nutrients including Phosphorus, Nitrogen, Sulphur, Calcium, Zinc and copper.

Quantity 4 kg /acre

Plant starts yielding owers after 3 to 4 months of transplanting in the eld. For cut- ower purpose, stem should be cut about 10 cm above the soil to avoid cutting into wooden tissue.

Usually Chrysanthemum plants take 5to 6 months from planting to owering. It all depends on the cultivar (varieties),

The lower 1/3 of stem should be placed in water to extend the life of cut owers.

The best way to protect the owers is to sleeve the ower bunch with a transparent plastic sleeve.

Harvest

MANAGEMENT Harvesting is the process of gathering a ripe crop from the elds. Reaping is the cutting of grain or owers for harvest. harvesting is the most labor-intensive activity of the growing season.

The right stage for harvesting depends on the variety grown, marketing and purpose.
