Hitculan plus plays important roles in rice growth and development. Dose : 10 kg/acre Rice provides 21% of global human per capita energy and 15% of per capita protein. Although rice protein ranks high in nutritional quality among cereals, protein content is modest. Rice also provides minerals, vitamins, and ber, although all constituents except carbohydrates are reduced by milling. Spraying hitculan at the heading stage could increase the number of spikelets per panicle, seed setting rate and grain yields in both seasons. It also signi cantly improved head rice rate and amylose content in early season. Furthermore, it is observed that spraying hitculan plus can increase super oxide dismutase (SOD) and peroxidase (POD) activities, decrease accumulation of malendialdehyde (MDA) in ag leaves at the late growth stage.
