Introduction to a Commercial Kitchen (Ages 11-15)

This two-week intensive class focuses on the necessary skills, equipment, and techniques used to produce high-quality cuisine in a restaurant setting. Students learn how to replicate the recipes from this class using their own equipment at home and how to properly cook vegetables, proteins, breads, and desserts using several methods, both classical and modern, including: sautéing, poaching, roasting, baking, and pastry techniques. Students also work on designing a well-composed plate using each day’s specific focus. This intensive is designed to not only teach students how to cook, but also to inspire them to try new things and to create their own style of cooking by experimenting at home.

Culinary Arts: Exploring European Cuisine (Ages 11-15)

Students are invited to participate in this one-week cooking and baking class, where they learn how to make complete dinners covering all the basic cooking techniques utilized in Europe! This hands-on class provides young chefs with a comprehensive introduction to crafting food from different parts of Europe that they can recreate at home.

Culinary Arts: Cooking Through History (Ages 11-15)

Take a journey back through time by exploring culturally significant dishes and recipes from throughout history. Students gain historical, and cultural insight into some of the most commonly known popular dishes all the while, cooking through history! Join us for an exploration of some of history’s most famous dishes and delicacies!
