This Fashion as Culture edition is inspired by the Czech Republic along with selected other cultures /nationalities that live here or come here as tourists. Our land has many cultural stories from these residents and visitors and we want to highlight this by displaying their stories via unique fashion sketches. By doing this, we unify the cultures by their individuality and fashion, in the form of sketches which have been specially prepared for you to color. Whether a millennial, or a boomer, whether you are creative, or merely wish to be, and whether you are a fashionista or simply like what you see, this edition is for you. These modern fashion and cultural realities are interpreted through the eyes of today’s fashion designers and drawn by hand. The internal part of the cover page exposes moodboards that express sources of inspiration behind the fashion drawing for every culture. 26 sketches inspired by cities, architecture, artists, photographers, actors, hectic city life in metropolises, and all the other traits that might be unique to a culture line the pages. In these sketches, we can act like we have magic powers and a time machine. We are granted the ability to play around with fashion inspired by the likes of Frank Gehry’s Dancing House and the medieval astronomical clock which symbolises movement and time. Freedom, adventure, a yearning to discover new things, along with a dynamic and comfortable movement in modernised velvet sandals indicates a festive mood for the sketches.
