RACE DESCRIPTION The last race of the opening day of the festival is a Grade 2 National Hunt flat race (known to many as a bumper) for four, five and six-year-old fillies and mares who are looking to gain some valuable black type Also now a GBB race, the GBB scheme provides financial incentives and bonuses for qualified fillies and mares who progress through the racing ranks.

It took until the final race on the day for the Irish to get on the board, but Ashroe Diamond was almighty impressive Having shown useful form in Ireland, she took a further step forward to prove a different class to her rivals here Ridden by Patrick Mullins, she travelled well throughout, albeit green, and kicked six lengths clear in a matter of strides. She clearly has an engine, and it was a shame to not see her in action in March.
